Water Parade™, plus returning and reimagined favorites like Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&Ms® where we’ll be celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.

You asked, and we listened! Over the past year, we gathered your feedback and heard the same themes again and again: more immersive entertainment, more spectacular nighttime events, and more experiences for the whole family to enjoy. That feedback helped shape Summer Splash in 2026.
This year's lineup brings live music, energetic shows and roaming performers into every corner of Kings Dominion, so entertainment feels woven into your day rather than something you seek out. Some experiences are bold and high-energy, others low-key and nostalgic — but all of them are designed to make every visit to Kings Dominion truly unforgettable.

NEW — Ignite the Night Drone & Fireworks Spectacular

Celebrate summer nights at Kings Dominion with this brand-new drone and fireworks show featuring intricate drone formations, glittering fireworks, and music-driven storytelling. Happening on select weekend nights during the summer, this powerful nighttime spectacular is the perfect way to cap off your day and a great reason to stick around after sundown.
RETURNING — Cirque Imagine

You asked for it, and now it's back! Step inside the Kings Dominion Theater and be transported to another world by Cirque Imagine, a breathtaking mainstage spectacular of gravity-defying acrobatics, powerful dance and immersive storytelling. Originally announced as Pandemonium: A Cirque Extravaganza, this awe-inspiring production has been fully reworked and expanded based on guest feedback — creating an immersive theatrical experience from start to finish.
NEW — Jungle X Percussion Show: Rhythm of the Wild

Deep in Jungle X-pedition, an outdoor percussion experience pulses with primal beats and raw energy. This high-impact performance brings rhythmic sounds and contagious energy to the jungles of Kings Dominion. Whether you’re watching the performers or exploring the nearby rides and coasters, this roaming experience brings the midway to life.
RETURNING — Bandstand Stage: Music at the Crossroads of the Park

The beats are back on International Street as the Bandstand Stage sets the soundtrack to summer with two shows that keep the energy pumping from afternoon through evening.
Daytime Performances: Strike Up the Bandstand
During the day, a high-energy five-piece band featuring regional and local talent delivers two distinct sets. These performances invite you to drop in, sing along, and keep moving, creating an upbeat atmosphere that flows seamlessly with your day at the park. Musical styles include pop & top 40, rock & classic rock, country, party anthems, and nostalgic hits.
Nighttime Spectacular: Rock the Night
As night falls, the Bandstand Stage transforms into a larger-than-life production. The band expands into a full spectacle with live singers, dancers, drummers and acrobatic energy. With more than 20 performers on stage, this nighttime show brings elevated momentum, bold visuals and a festival-style finale to your summer night at Kings Dominion.

Make your way to Candy Apple Grove where groups of rambunctious performers are putting on an interactive parade of high-energy fun and splashes in the sun: this is SPLASH! Water Parade™!
The Wacky Water Works Company is cruising the midway with whimsical floats and loads of watery contraptions! With buckets and blasters — plus mist, spray and splashers — it’s a summer celebration that keeps temperatures low and smiles sky‑high.
NEW THEME — Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&Ms®

Kings Dominion's beloved fireworks show tradition returns July 4–5 with a powerful display set to patriotic music — bring the family, pick your spot, and get ready for dazzling lights, mesmerizing sights and unforgettable memories at Star-Spangled Nights presented by M&Ms®.
You'll also enjoy patriotic décor that honors Virginia's role in the formation of the United States. Historic touches throughout the Old Virginia area will pay homage to America's 250th celebration from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
NEW — Bands in Residence

Top local and regional bands perform multiple live sets per day in Candy Apple Grove, delivering high-quality rock, blues, country, folk, bluegrass, indie, alternative, and pop music throughout the summer season.
RETURNING — Team Charlie Brown
Now – Sept. 7 | Select Dates
Batter up! Charlie Brown and his team take the field in this high-energy musical adventure packed with songs, dance, and Little League fun. It's a feel-good show that brings the PEANUTS™ spirit to life for the whole family.
Roaming Fun & Fan Favorites
Throughout the summer, you'll also encounter spontaneous moments of joy around every corner. The Kings Dominion Clown Band — a beloved legacy act for more than four decades — roams International Street, Candy Apple Grove, and bustling midways with classic music, comedy, and joyful chaos that's delighted generations.
Daily PEANUTS™ character appearances give your littlest guests the chance to meet Snoopy and the gang, creating photo-worthy memories all season long.
And no summer at Kings Dominion would be complete without its most iconic musical residents: the Singing Mushrooms and the beloved Frog Pianist, Mr. A. M. Phibian (affectionately known as Fib the Frog).
Debuting with the park's opening in 1975, this whimsical animatronic ensemble continues to delight guests daily in Candy Apple Grove with updated playlists and modernized technology — living symbols of Kings Dominion's heritage that keep the magic alive year after year.
