Join us for Opening Weekend — beginning on February 28, 2026 — as we kick off a major milestone year at the original Six Flags park that started it all. Six Flags Over Texas celebrates 65 years of legendary fun, and it’s getting even better in 2026!
Opening Weekend at Six Flags Over Texas is your first chance to experience freshly themed ride areas, try delicious new recipes, and see brand-new shows in the renovated Southern Palace Theatre! With additions, enhancements, and renovations throughout the park, you’ll want to come back again-and-again to experience everything new at Arlington’s favorite park.
And the excitement doesn’t stop there, either. Later this season, take history by the horns and prepare for Tormenta Rampaging Run — the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest giga dive coaster. Towering over 300 feet and breaking six world records, this unprecedented coaster becomes the ultimate centerpiece of our 65th anniversary year.

What to expect: Season Passholders of any level are invited to enjoy one hour of extended ride-time in the Gotham to celebrate the beginning of our 65th Anniversary Season! Experience Mr. Freeze, BATMAN The Ride and BATWING on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 8-9 p.m., and Sunday, March 1, 2026 from 7-8 p.m.
Cost: This event is included for current Season Passholders of any level. Must show valid season pass to access select attractions during the extended ride time event.
