The Great American Revolution

First opened on May 8, 1976, this looping coaster was the first of its kind. Originally named The Great American Revolution, in honor of the country's bicentennial celebration, this coaster legend has gone by many names in its history including La Revolucion and The New Revolución. In celebration of the coaster’s 50th Anniversary, The Great American Revolution name has been reinstated!

Revolution has had many cameo appearances in popular television shows and movies, most famously in the 1983 classic, National Lampoon’s Vacation.

This beloved steel roller coaster that has thrilled over millions upon millions of guests in its long history stands proud above the park entry plaza and features and Americana red, white and blue color scheme. Come take a spin and join the “first loop club”!
