A summer of splashes kicks off on May 23, when Kings Dominion's waterpark opens for the 2026 season! You're sure to have a splash-tastic time in the only destination in Virginia with two parks included for the price of one. Join us on Soak City's Opening Day to take on the thrills and soak up the sun at our 20-acre waterpark, featuring dozens of water slides, splash pads, a wave pool, a lazy river, cabanas, and more. If that wasn’t enough, it’s only a short walk from Soak City to the award-winning Rapterra — the world’s tallest and longest launched wing coaster!

Make waves in the recently reimagined area of Soak City, Coconut Shores, home to Lighthouse Landing, Sand Dune Lagoon, and Beach Street. At Lighthouse Landing, you can explore your way to the top of an interactive, multi-level play structure featuring eight twisting water slides, two massive water tipping buckets, and more than 200 elements in total. Kids can have a blast and a splash at Sand Dune Lagoon, a two-foot-deep mini-wave pool with one-foot-tall waves and interactive splash elements.

Then, when you're hungry, stop by Beach Street for a bite to eat at one of three food trucks. Indulge in delicious delights from The Captain's Catch, Pizza Paradise, and Beachside Bowls. Guests 21 and older can grab a refreshing drink from the Sand Bar including craft beer, wine, hard seltzers, margaritas and more.
