Celebrate your hardworking marching band or performance group with a one-of-a-kind performance experience and a day filled with non-stop fun at Kings Dominion!

Our Performance in the Park program offers your talented students the chance to showcase their skills in a thrilling atmosphere, surrounded by thousands of eager spectators. The love for music in the park is palpable, so why not bring your students along to be a part of the excitement?

PLEASE NOTE: Performance in the Park is a non-adjudicated event where your students perform on one of our performance stages or in the midway area in front of park guests. Performance in the Park is available on any public operating day based on mutual availability.

    How Performance in the Park Works

    Register Your Performance Group

    Complete the online registration to select and reserve a performance time. A $50 registration fee per performance group is required to secure your performance slot. This registration fee is non-refundable and must be received before finalizing your scheduled performance time. The $50 fee is solely for registration purposes and does not apply to your ticket purchase.
    If paying by check, mail a copy of the invoice with the payment to ensure proper credit to the correct ensemble. If paying by credit card, please have that form of payment ready to process at the final step of registration. For check payments, ensure that payment is received within two weeks of registration, or your timeslot will be released.

    Each person entering Kings Dominion will need to present an admission ticket or a season pass to gain access to the park for the performance. This includes students, directors, accompanists, chaperones, group members, family, and friends.

    Meal Options

    Kings Dominion makes it easy to take care of your group during your visit. The following meal and drink options are available:

    • All-Day Drinks: Enjoy refreshing Coca-Cola beverages all day, with only a 15-minute interval between refills.
    • Single Meal Deal: Includes one entree, side, and a regular drink at participating restaurants throughout the park.
    • Premium All Day Dining: Enjoy an entrée and one side item, or a snack, every 90 minutes at participating restaurants throughout the park, plus, All-Day Drinks.

    Perform and Have Fun at the Park

    Your group will get to take home the recording of the adjudicators notes from the performance as well as a certificate of participation and a rating plaque to hang in the school music room! After your performance – your group can enjoy everything Kings Dominion has to offer!
