We want to make sure you have a great time at Six Flags Great America. So we’re always available to answer questions, offer advice and hear your suggestions. Visit us at the Guest Services, at the Main Gate, when you arrive at the park, and our helpful staff will be happy to assist you however we can.
All of the slide/tube attractions require climbing stairs. The wave pool (Hurricane Bay) and the lazy river (Castaway Creek) are both wheelchair-accessible. We strive to safely accommodate the needs of all guests including guests with disabilities. With specific questions, please visit the park to speak directly with a member of our team.
Six Flags accepts card and mobile payments only at all locations including restaurants, retail stores, games, ticket windows, and parking toll booths. You can pay for purchases using a Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, or a debit card. Only have cash? You can convert your cash to a prepaid debit card at one of the multiple kiosks located throughout the park and anywhere in the U.S. where Visa is accepted. We highly encourage you to pre-purchase your parking, tickets, and more online before visiting the park.
There are no lost children at Hurricane Harbor Chicago, only lost parents. If your child becomes separated from your group, don’t panic! Contact the nearest host/hostess or security officer for assistance, or visit Lost Parents to the right of Skull Island. Before entering the park, be sure to instruct children to contact a host or hostess for assistance, should their parents become lost. We also encourage you to establish a special meeting place in advance, just in case your group becomes separated.
Personal pages cannot be broadcast through the Park, but you can leave messages for other members of your party at Guest Services.
Your safety is always our priority. All guests are required to pass through metal detectors and have their bags inspected. Inappropriate items should be left at home or in your car. Please note that weapons, including knives, are not permitted inside the park.
Guest safety is our number one priority. There are certain weather circumstances that may cause the entire park to close earlier than scheduled or not open at all. As soon as closures are confirmed, the website operating calendar will be updated with the park’s current operating status. Please check the website prior to visiting on days when weather may be a concern.
If rain, wind or electrical storms force us to close certain rides for your safety, they will re-open as soon as safe operations can be assured. The park offers many activities that are amazingly fun in any kind of weather—including indoor shows, restaurants, shops, games and arcades. Refunds or rain checks for inclement weather are not offered.
