Celebrate a milestone 50 years in the making! From June 20 through August 9, Six Flags Great America invites you to an anniversary celebration packed with new experiences, nostalgic touches, and extended park hours! The theme park will be open until 10:00 p.m. every night during the celebration.
ALL NEW Nighttime Spectacular
Each evening comes to life with our ALL‑NEW Nighttime Spectacular, featuring a new stage show and unforgettable parade. The parade will showcase ALL‑NEW themed floats joining our fan‑favorite lineup, creating a vibrant show of color, energy, and excitement. The celebration continues in the sky with an ALL‑NEW drone show*, complete with special effects unlike anything we’ve ever presented before.
*Drone show available Fridays through Sundays.

Commemorate this milestone season with exclusive finds at the 50th Anniversary Legacy Store inside Emporium (Orleans Place). Discover a wide variety of limited‑edition apparel, collectibles, and souvenirs created just for the celebration, perfect keepsakes for fans of every era.
Legacy Museum
Step into the past at our Legacy Museum, also located inside Great America Emporium. Explore a curated collection of historic items, artifacts, and memorabilia from the park’s five‑decade journey. It’s a nostalgic look back at the moments, memories, and milestones that helped shape Six Flags Great America into the park guests know and love today.
Anniversary Bricks
Become a lasting part of our 50th Anniversary Celebration with a personalized Anniversary Brick! Guests can purchase a commemorative brick engraved with a special message, name, or tribute of their choice. Each brick will be placed along the Great America Legacy Path, located in Carousel Plaza near Orleans Place, creating a meaningful walkway that honors the guests, families, and memories that have shaped our park for 50 incredible years.
