Our 6th Annual Mardi Gras Festival
The music, flavors and culture of New Orleans come to Six Flags Fiesta Texas during our Mardi Gras Festival, January 15 – February 27, 2022. Enjoy jazz music, street entertainers, Cajun food, beads and colorful décor along with your favorite rides. San Antonio’s 7-week festival is bigger than every with The Houngan House of Voodoo, new festive eats and drinks to keep you fueled, and the return of our evening Mardi Gras Parade. Let the good times roll!
The Houngan House of Voodoo
A voodoo priest lures inquisitive guests through room-after-room of his cursed French Quarter shop filled with magical dolls, potions, charms and gris-gris. This voodoo-themed walk-thru attraction at the Mardi Gras Festival is included with park admission.
Mardi Gras Parade & Live Entertainment
The sounds of the streets of the Big Easy fill the air with live music from New Orleans-Style jazz bands. The party continues with street shows and performances along the midways in Rockville, Spassburg and Texas State Square. The Mardi Gras Parade winds through the streets of the park to toss beads to smiling guests.
Taste of Mardi Gras
Always popular are the delicious and authentic food and drinks of Mardi Gras, including gumbo, jambalaya, crawfish, bacon-wrapped boudin balls, beignets, hurricanes, and a wide variety of beer. The long list of treats also includes gator bites, bacon wrapped Cajun pork ribs, and praline cheesecake.
Mardi Gras Beads
The Mardi Gras bead colors symbolize justice (purple), faith (green) and power (gold). Guests are provided complimentary beads at various locations throughout the park.
