Our 5th Annual Mardi Gras Festival is BIGGER THAN EVER!
The music, flavors and culture of New Orleans come to Six Flags during our Mardi Gras Festival through February 28. Enjoy jazz music, street entertainers, Cajun food, beads and colorful décor along with your favorite rides. This year’s 7-week festival is bigger than every with the all-new Houngan House of Voodoo and new festive eats and drinks to keep you fueled. Let the good times roll!
The Houngan House of Voodoo – NEW FOR 2021!
The 2021 Mardi Gras Festival expands into the Spassburg area of the park with the addition of The Houngan House of Voodoo. A voodoo priest lures inquisitive guests through room-after-room of his cursed French Quarter home filled with magical dolls, potions, charms and gris-gris in this voodoo-themed walk-thru attraction. This mysterious new addition to the Mardi Gras Festival is included with park admission (reservation required).
New Orleans-Style Music & Entertainment
The sounds of the streets of the Big Easy fill the air with live music by the Dixieland Band, The King Williams Brass Band and other musical entertainment throughout the park.
Then the party continues with street shows and performances along the midways in Rockville, Spassburg and Texas State Square.
Taste of Mardi Gras
Back by popular demand are the delicious and authentic food and drink of Mardi Gras, including Gumbo, Jambalaya, Crawfish, Bacon Wrapped Boudin Balls, Beignets, Hurricanes, beer and more! With a long list of new treats for 2021, there are more tasty Mardi Gras snacks that ever before!
Mardi Gras Beads
The Mardi Gras bead colors symbolize justice (purple), faith (green) and power (gold). Guests are provided complimentary beads at various locations throughout the park and when playing Spassburg Ladder Climb, Boardwalk Ladder Climb, and Ring Toss.
The Mardi Gras Festival is a vibrant celebration when Six Flags Fiesta Texas is blanketed with colorful decorations that capture the spirit of this world-famous New Orleans party.
Mardi Gras Pop-Up Cavalcades
NEW FOR 2021! Guests are surprised throughout the day by spontaneous pop-up cavalcades featuring Bugs & Lola or our Mardi Gras brass band a bead-dazzled vehicle. These colorful, spontaneous, one-vehicle processions appear four times a day to stand in while our full parade is on break this year.
Admittance to The Hoongan House of Voodoo is regulated by a free reservation system in order to maintain social distancing and provide a safe environment for all. Reservations for this attraction are not available in advance.
Free reservations are available on a first come, first served basis at the park. Simply go to the entrance of The Houngan House of Voodoo in the Spassburg area of the park to obtain your reservation and return to the attraction at the time of your reservation to gain entry.
If you wish to enter the attraction at a time that is different than what is listed on your reservation, you may purchase an Instant Access Pass for $5 at the attraction entrance. An Instant Access Pass allows you to enter the attraction one time at any time of your choosing that day.
- Diamond Members receive one free Instant Access Pass on one day of your choosing during the span of the Mardi Gras Festival, January 16 – February 28, 2021.
- Diamond Elite Members receive one free Instant Access Pass per day on each day of the Mardi Gras Festival, January 16 – February 28, 2021.
- Diamond and Diamond Elite Members may obtain their Instant Access Pass for The Houngan House of Voodoo at the attraction entrance or at Membership Services.
