Saturday, June 18th is World Giraffe Day, join us, from 11:00am -4:00pm, and learn about giraffes and what you can do to support the wild giraffe populations.
Reticulated giraffes are an endangered species as a result of habitat loss and poaching. Fortunately, Giraffe Conservation Foundation is doing amazing work in research, education, protection, and conservation of the giraffe species. We are proud to support GCF, and encourage you to do the same! Donate $5 and be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a grand prize. All money raised this weekend will be donated to the GCF and will be used to support wild giraffe populations.
With the help of our informative animal care specialist, meet and learn about our two Reticulated giraffes, Makali and Brandon. Makali and Brandon are excellent ambassadors for their species and can’t wait for you to visit them. See demonstrations, participate in fun activities and see Makali and Brandon up close! From their diet to habits, hear our Animal Care Specialist share their knowledge. Feel free to come with questions at this encounter!
