Big Things Are Coming to Six Flags Great Adventure in 2026

2026 is shaping up to be a milestone year at Six Flags Great Adventure, with upgraded rides, new entertainment, refreshed dining, and the long‑awaited return of in‑park safari boarding. Here’s your first look at everything coming to elevate your next visit.

Best of the West at Six Flags Great Adventure

If you love stepping off a coaster and straight into your next adventure, 2026 is going to be a big year for you.

This season, you’ll see upgrades across the park designed to make your day smoother, more immersive, and even more exciting — from the return of in-park safari boarding to refreshed dining, expanded entertainment, and major infrastructure improvements.

And this is just the beginning.

Safari Off‑Road Adventure Returns Inside Six Flags Great Adventure

The Safari Off-Road Adventure is once again part of your in-park experience and included with park admission.

You’ll be able to step from coasters to creatures in one seamless transition. Near The Runaway Mine Train and Medusa, you can hop aboard a rugged, open-air safari vehicle and head out on a guided wildlife expedition.

Inside Wild Safari, you’ll come face-to-face with more than 1,200 animals from six continents — including elephants, rhinos, giraffes, lions, and tigers. Along the way, your safari guide shares stories, fun facts, and answers to your questions as you explore expansive habitats up close.

If you’re a Passholder or Member, this experience is included — adding even more value to your day of thrills.

More Live Entertainment Arrives in 2026

You’ll notice a renewed focus on live entertainment throughout the park.

A brand-new Main Street Main Stage behind the iconic fountain will serve as a central gathering space for performances, seasonal events, and special programming. That means more flexibility, more energy, and more reasons to stop, watch, and enjoy something unexpected during your visit!

Six Flags Great Adventure Upgrades Food and Dining Experiences

If food is part of your park tradition, you’re going to like what’s ahead.

Best of the West is becoming Best of the West: Smokehouse, bringing bold, house‑smoked barbecue flavors and hearty classics to your plate.

Main Street Pub is being refreshed with a classic pub vibe and an energetic walk-up format that makes it easy to grab elevated comfort food without slowing down your day.

Executive Chef Jeremy Hacker is leading the evolution, focusing on scratch-made ingredients, creative menus, and faster service — so you can spend less time waiting and more time riding.

El Toro Will Feel Smoother Than Ever This Season

If El Toro is one of your must-rides, you’ll feel the difference this season.

Substantial sections of new track are being installed ahead of opening to enhance ride smoothness and consistency — all while preserving the speed and intensity that make this wooden legend unforgettable.

Stronger Park Wi‑Fi Means You’ll Stay Better Connected All Day

You’ll also experience faster, more reliable connectivity across the destination.

With more than 600 new Wi-Fi access points being installed, you’ll have stronger app performance, easier communication with your group, and better content sharing throughout your visit.

Because your day should move as smoothly as the rides.

More announcements are on the way — including the full events lineup before Opening Day on March 28.

This is only the first wave of what’s coming.

And if this is the start, you can imagine where we’re headed.
