Guests enjoyed a day of rides and fun during Great Adventures Day of Giving.
Six Flags Great Adventure welcomed thousands of children and families to the park on Sunday, July 12, for the park’s annual Day of Giving, a special event dedicated to celebrating local nonprofit organizations and the communities they serve.
The event began with a recognition ceremony honoring organizations that work tirelessly to support children and families throughout New Jersey and the surrounding region. Following the ceremony, participating guests enjoyed an exclusive private ride experience and a full day of fun at the park.
This year’s event welcomed families from organizations including Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, A Kid Again, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Coastal & Northern New Jersey, Project Purple, the Michael Ann & Saquon Barkley Hope Foundation and KultureCity.
Joining the celebration was Jenni “JWoww” Farley, whose energy and enthusiasm helped make the day even more memorable for the participating families.
“Day of Giving is one of the most meaningful traditions of our season,” said Mike Fehnel, Park President of Six Flags Great Adventure. “There is no better example of that than welcoming these deserving families for a day that celebrates community, compassion and the incredible organizations making a difference every day.”

The wait is over. Shoreline Pier at The Boardwalk is officially open, bringing the sights, sounds and nostalgia of the Jersey Shore to Six Flags Great Adventure. The new waterfront-inspired destination combines exciting family rides, iconic boardwalk eats, midway games and a vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for guests of all ages.
Less than 24 hours after officially opening Shoreline Pier, Six Flags Great Adventure is celebrating another major milestone as crews installed the final section of track on Project Purple, completing the attraction's towering track structure and marking the beginning of its next phase of construction.
