The Thrill Is Calling: Six Flags White Water Opens May 8
The 2021 Season Features New Food Offerings, Fan-Favorite Water Slides and Ongoing Safety Procedures
MARIETTA, Ga. — April 29, 2021 — Six Flags White Water—The South’s Most Thrilling Waterpark—will be making a big splash beginning May 8, with the start of the 2021 season. The Thrill Is Calling with the return of more than 24 fan-favorite attractions, expanded food offerings, continued, enhanced safety and sanitation protocols, and exciting, new benefits for job seekers.
“The beginning of the summer season is synonymous with the opening of Six Flags White Water, Marietta’s hometown waterpark,” said Six Flags White Water Park Director Greg Fuller. “Consistently ranked as one of the top waterparks in the nation, this year White Water is offering our guests a host of new food options, along with 24 thrilling slides and attractions, while keeping the safety of our guests and team members our top priority.”
Fan Favorite Slides and Attractions
Six Flags White Water offers fun and thrills for all, including Wahoo Racer, a four- story, multi-lane, mat-racing water slide complex. The Atlanta Ocean Wave Pool offers guests 700,000 gallons of pure fun. The bravest of guests can venture to the deepest depths of the pool and experience ocean-size waves. Younger guests can splash around safely in the shallow waters of interactive, kid-friendly attractions, like Captain Kid’s Cove and Buccaneer Bay.
New Food and Beverage Offerings
In 2021, Six Flags White Water is introducing tasty, new menu options. Guests looking for a plant-based entrée can try the new Beyond Burger Basket at Sternwheeler and Boardwalk Burgers and Fries. For those craving both an entrée and a dessert, guests can dive into the new Funnel Cake Chicken Sliders at Granny’s Funnel Cakes. Other new food options include the Italian Chicken Strip Salad at Primo’s Pizzeria and hot, teriyaki or lemon pepper boneless wings at Seaside Fries.
Extensive Safety Measures
As the park prepares for reopening, the health and safety of guests and team members remains its top priority. Six Flags coordinated with infectious disease specialists to develop a comprehensive list of safety initiatives, including but not limited to:
- Contact-less IR thermal imaging used to screen temperatures of guests and employees prior to entry;
- Touchless security checkpoints for seamless entry into the park;
- Requiring all guests over the age of two and all team members to wear face masks covering the nose and mouth throughout their visit/work day. Masks are not required while in the water or on water slides;
- Extensive sanitation and disinfecting protocols with increased sanitization and disinfecting of high touch points;
- Sanitized food preparation and continued use of mobile food ordering for touchless transactions;
- Card and Mobile Payments only accepted at all locations including restaurants, retail stores, ticket windows, and parking tollbooths. Guests can convert cash at cash-to-a-card kiosks conveniently located throughout the park; and

Expanded Employee Benefits
