Six Flags St. Louis Announces New Family Coaster for 2023  

Rookie Racer Speeds into the Theme Park This Summer

EUREKA, MoMarch 1, 2023 Six Flags St. Louis, The Gateway to Thrills, announces the addition of Rookie Racer to the park’s lineup of thrilling roller coasters. Guests are in the driver’s seat as the Formula 1 designed coaster cars careen along the steel track. This rookie circuit is made up of a series of maneuvers including winding curves, drops and a horizontal loop that is perfect for thrill seekers of all ages

We are very excited to be able to provide coaster thrills to our younger guests with the addition of the new Rookie Racer, said Park President John Krajnak. This family ride has the look and feel of a major coaster with a height requirement that will allow smaller kids to ride with their parents and older siblings to provide an adrenaline charged experience like only Six Flags can. 

Rookie Racer stats: 

  • There are 8, Formula 1 style, coaster cars that seat 2 passengers each for a total of 16 racers in each run;  
  • Each run travels 843-ft of steel track which includes an initial banked drop, a series of s-curves and a 540⁰ horizontal loop;   
  • Guests fly through the course at 27 mph with the wind in their hair and pulse racing before reaching the checkered flag; and 
  • Riders 36” and taller can take on the Rookie Racer which will be located near the entrance of The Boss wooden roller coaster.

The park offers flexible hours and great perks with most jobs start at $12.50 per hour, and paying up to $18 per hour for specialty positions.
