Community

Six Flags Friends is a series of programs throughout the Six Flags family of parks that make a difference in communities by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families across North America.

Six Flags St. Louis is also pleased to support the work of local Missouri organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods. It is the work of the organizations below that truly make our cities a better place to live, work and enjoy. Six Flags Friends is dedicated to furthering the mission of the following organizations.

Children's Miracle Network

Children’s Miracle Network is the alliance of premier children’s hospitals. Every year, Children’s Miracle Network hospitals treat 17 million children for every disease and injury imaginable. Children’s hospitals provide state-of-the-art care, life-saving research and preventative education for children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is a Children’s Miracle Network hospital dedicated to serving children in every community across the United States and Canada. These hospitals are committed to providing the best care for children when they need it.

Six Flags Friends has proudly supported the work of the Children’s Miracle Network at Six Flags St. Louis since 1990 and continues to support their fundraising efforts each year.

Make-A-Wish Foundation

Firetruck 'O Toys

The mission of Fire Truck O’ Toys is to make sure every hospitalized kid gets the chance to experience the joy of the holiday season through the simplest of gifts – a toy. They’ve collected over 45,000 toys for 6 St. Louis area Children’s Hospitals. Six Flags St. Louis hosts a toy drive every year to collect toys for this wonderful local organization.

St. Louis Children's Hospital Night at Six Flags St. Louis

Founded in 1879, St. Louis Children’s Hospital is one of the premier children’s hospitals in the United States. It serves not just the children of St. Louis, but children across the world. The hospital provides a full range of pediatric services to the St. Louis metropolitan area and a primary service region covering six states. As the pediatric teaching hospital for Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis Children’s Hospital offers nationally recognized programs for physician training and research.

Since partnering with St. Louis Children’s Hospital in 1983, the Six Flags relationship has grown to become the hospital’s single largest fundraiser event each year. By offering the hospital substantially reduced tickets that they in turn sell at a premium to an exclusive night at the park, the hospital has raised over $750,000 per year. Six Flags Friends is proud to be part of such a unique and successful fundraiser that allows the hospital to continue to offer much hope and help to so many children and their families.

Ronald McDonald House

By creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children, Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) is working to better the lives of children and their families around the world. The three core programs of RMHC—the Ronald McDonald House, Ronald McDonald Family Room and Ronald McDonald Care Mobile—are focused on helping families in need. The cornerstone Ronald McDonald House program began in 1974 based on a simple idea: Provide a “home away from home” for families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at nearby hospitals. Since that time, more than 10 million families around the world have benefited from the comfort provided by a Ronald McDonald House. Six Flags Friends is proud to be a part of this hospitality by offering a complimentary day at Six Flags St. Louis where families can escape their worries and enjoy their time together.

KidSmart

Six Flags St. Louis has been hosting our Back To School Supply Drive to benefit area children since 2010. Every year, kids all over the country prepare to head back to school with new clothes and backpacks, while over 90,000 local students and teachers are worrying about having basic school supplies. We are proud to assist KidSmart, Missouri’s only free educational supply store, in their efforts to prepare thousands of kids in need by hosting a community-wide school supply drive each August.
