Community

Six Flags Friends is a series of programs throughout the Six Flags family of parks that makes a difference in communities by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families across North America.

Six Flags Friends is a proud supporter of hundreds of organizations throughout our Six Flags communities. Through our national partnerships, we successfully utilize our geographic span to make a difference as a unified family of parks. Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is also pleased to support the work of organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods. It is the work of the organizations below that truly make our cities a better place to live, work and enjoy.

Texas A&M Forest Service

Texas A&M Forest Service (TAMFS) is the leader in forestry for Texas and the nation. They work to ensure the state’s forests, trees, and related natural resources are conserved and continue to provide a sustainable flow of environmental and economic benefits. Hurricane Harbor Splashtown’s parking lot was used in association with Texas A&M Forest Service and FEMA as their main shipping and receiving center of operations hub last February after the winter storm. Essentially both agencies receive bulk shipments of water and then redistributed the water to distribution sites throughout the city of Houston.

Ronald McDonald House Charities

The Ronald McDonald House of Greater Houston/Galveston has created and supported programs that directly improve the health and well being of children. Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is happy to provide a rebate for every ticket purchased through their Summer promotional program with local and surrounding Houston area McDonald partners.

Project 6

The Hurricane Harbor Splashtown employees designate a Project 6 Day where they provide a service to give back to the Houston community. Project 6 can consist of a project that involves painting, cleaning, landscaping, filling food boxes, gift wrapping or minor building repairs.  The park is continuously looking within the community to assist with a project or non -profit organization that needs additional team member resources.

Ticket Donations

The mission of Six Flags Friends is to deliver smiles and thrills to children and families across North America, from the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Hurricane Harbor Splashtown is pleased to assist qualified Texas non-profit organizations with their fundraising efforts with a once a year donation. Hurricane Harbor Splashtown prides itself on being involved in the community by helping local public non-profit organizations through in-kind donations of tickets.
