Six Flags Over Georgia might be closed for the winter, but our team is working around the clock to prepare for park opening on Saturday, March 15. Today, we’re thrilled to reveal some big upgrades coming your way this spring, including exciting new dining and retail experiences in USA.
Over the years, USA has had many different identities. When the park first opened in 1967, this section of the park was intended to showcase modern technology and advancements, but as technology progressed at the speed of light, we had to find a new thematic storyline for USA.

Today, this section of the park celebrates the retro Americana of the 1950s, and we’re excited to embrace that theme with major enhancements happening this spring. Get ready for an all-new, retro-inspired experience in our restaurants, shops, décor, and so much more!
DeeJay’s Diner
If you visited Six Flags Over Georgia during Holiday in the Park, you may have noticed DeeJay’s Diner was closed – and for good reason! Our team has been hard at work giving the restaurant a complete interior overhaul.
The new look will be brighter, sleeker, and packed with mid-century flair, featuring fresh flooring, stylish furniture, vibrant décor, and a color scheme that’ll leave you craving a classic, All-American burger.

The new experience doesn’t stop at the décor. We’ve also revamped the menu with mouthwatering new dishes, including hand-breaded chicken tenders and sandwiches fried to crispy perfection, juicy All-American cheeseburgers served on a soft brioche bun, and creamy, house-made mac and cheese.
The new DeeJay’s Diner will debut when the park opens for the 2025 season on Saturday, March 15.
Daddy O’s BBQ Becomes Firehouse BBQ
DeeJay’s Diner isn’t the only restaurant getting a makeover this season. Say “goodbye” to Daddy O’s BBQ and “hello” to Firehouse BBQ – launching just in time for Spring Break!
This fiery new eatery is undergoing a complete transformation, both inside and out. Step into a cozy, small-town firehouse with authentic décor sourced from local fire stations. The walls will be adorned with fire fighter helmets, vintage alarm bells, fire hose reels, and more, all set against a backdrop of bold, rustic charm.

But the real heat comes from the menu. Firehouse BBQ will still serve mouthwatering southern classics, like brisket and pulled pork slow roasted to perfection, slow cooked collard greens and chicken drumsticks full of flavor, and golden roasted smashed potatoes.
Both DeeJay’s Diner and Firehouse BBQ will feature a new service style designed to speed up the lines and keep your food fresher than ever. It’s all part of our mission to deliver friendly, fast, and fun service that’s sure to leave you coming back for more.
From Attitudes to a Small-Town Auto Shop
Our focus isn’t just on the restaurants. One of the park’s favorite retail spots, Attitudes, is also receiving a complete interior and exterior refresh.
The new location will retain the industrial look and feel of Attitudes, while being rethemed as a small-town auto body shop that perfectly complements the vintage Americana aesthetic of the new USA. With a fresh coat of paint and new color scheme, the store will feature details like tire racks, vintage signs, and other auto garage-inspired décor that would make any mechanic feel right at home.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates, including a new name for the store. The revamped Attitudes will be ready to roll later this spring!
Refuel at the New Drink Refill Station
We’ll be debuting five new drink refill stations around the park this spring and summer, including one location in USA. To make room for this, our caricature artists are moving to a new location making way for a refill station that’s sure to take you on a nostalgic ride.
This new station will be completely revamped, inside and out, with a retro, roadside gas station theme. Complete with new paint and décor, like vintage gas pumps, neon lights, and props, you’ll feel like you’re taking a pit stop on a classic, All-American road trip.
The theming isn’t all that’s new. Drink refills will be easier than ever with these new stations. Each station will be staffed by an attendant for fast and friendly service, and, new for this season, guests will be able to purchase and refill ICEE beverages.
We’re beyond excited about the amazing new theming and service upgrades coming to USA this spring, but that’s just the beginning! We’ve already teased the thrilling new storyline for Georgia Gold Rusher, opening March 15, and even more additions are on the way.
Keep an eye out. This season is going to be one you won’t want to miss!
