Six Flags Friends is a series of programs that make a difference in communities by encouraging local involvement, supporting the mission of various non-profit organizations and bringing the thrill of Six Flags to children and families.
Six Flags Friends is proud to support thousands of organizations throughout the New England community. Through our donation program we are able to contribute to many local organizations. Six Flags New England is also pleased to support the work of organizations that make an impact in our surrounding neighborhoods.
Six Flags Friends is dedicated to furthering the mission of many organizations, and the following organizations is just a small sampling of our efforts.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
JDRF is the leading charitable funder and advocate of type 1 (juvenile) diabetes research worldwide. The mission of JDRF is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Every fall, Six Flags New England hosts a fundraising walk with over 5,000 participants. In current years, the walk made over $450,000.
Baystate Children's Hospital
Baystate Children's Hospital, located within Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA, provides advanced medical care to babies, children and adolescents in an environment that focuses exclusively on the needs of children and families throughout the region. Six Flags New England is proud to make an annual donation to Baystate Children’s Hospital to further their initiatives and great work that they do.
Since 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation® has enriched the lives of children with life-threatening medical conditions through its wish-granting work. Six Flags is proud to be a part of this amazing wish-granting organization and is excited to fulfill the wishes of children who dream of visiting Six Flags New England.
American Red Cross
The American Red Cross has been the nation's premier emergency response organization. Six Flags Friends is happy to donate one day passes to the local American Red Cross chapter as an incentive for volunteers to donate blood.
The YMCA of Greater Springfield is the second oldest YMCA in the country and the third oldest in North America. Six Flags New England is a proud partner with the organization and most recently assisted with the opening of a YMCA facility in Agawam, Massachusetts.
