Want a mild ride or a wild ride? It’s up to you on the Drummer Boy ride at Michigan’s Adventure. On this classic teacup ride, you and your buddies hop into one of the larger-than-life drums and grab the wheel in the center.

As the whole ride spins one way, you take hold of the rotating wheel and spin the opposite way as fast or slow as you want—every ride on Drummer Boy in wildly different. In fact, you won’t know quite what you’re looking at as you rotate clockwise and counterclockwise simultaneously.

The only thing that will make sense is your extreme urge to hold on tight while the ride’s drums swirl into a rainbow around you, all under the watch of the Drummer Boy in the center.
