Kite Flying Foibles

Kite Flying Foibles, a traveling exhibition on view at Town Hall in Ghost Town, explores kite-flying with the PEANUTS gang through high-quality reproductions of original PEANUTS comic strips, drawings, and photos.

Fly into the wild blue yonder—but avoid the Kite-Eating Tree! PEANUTS creator Charles M. Schulz admitted that he was never very good at flying kites, and unfortunately, poor Charlie Brown fares even worse. Of Charlie Brown’s many frustrations, one of the biggest involves kites. In one memorable storyline, he gets so mad that he bites a tree and becomes a fugitive from the Environmental Protection Agency!

In this exhibition, be swept away by the humor and relatability that made Schulz’s strip soar. Kite Flying Foibles is organized and toured by the Charles M. Schulz Museum and Research Center in Santa Rosa, California.
