This windswept paradise is located next to Six Flags Great Adventure & Wild Safari. Safety Remains Six Flags’ Top Priority

Six Flags remains focused on safe park operation during the pandemic. Like its sister park, Six Flags Great Adventure, the waterpark implemented extensive, new safety measures and hygiene protocols in 2020 and those remain in place for 2021. These procedures will be adjusted on an as needed basis to ensure compliance with state requirements.

Hurricane Harbor’s safety measures, which the company developed in consultation with epidemiologists, meets or exceeds federal, state, and local guidelines for sanitization, hygiene, and social distancing protocols. Masks are required. Advance ticket purchase and reservations manage attendance and stagger arrivals. Other newer technologies include:

  • State-of-the-art thermal imaging for temperature checks;
  • Advanced security screening technology for touchless bag checks;
  • Mobile- and card-only payments with free, cash-to-card conversion; and
  • Mobile food ordering.

As part of Six Flags’ comprehensive safety procedures, all employees are required to wear masks and are temperature-checked and health-screened each day. Gloves are worn as appropriate, per guidelines.
