2024 is here and the Six Flags Great Escape team is hard at work. Anticipation is high for what promises to be a monumental season, we’ll be celebrating the 70th anniversary of our beloved theme park and the year of The Bobcat!
In August 2023 we announced The Bobcat, New York’s first new wooden coaster since 1999 and our first coaster since 2003. The Bobcat moves fast! Our teams went to work to speedily prepare its den and the ride went vertical in January. The excitement surrounding this exhilarating new wooden roller coaster to our lineup has been incredible. We can’t wait to release this new Six Flags Great Escape ride into the wild this summer!
At the heart of our 70th anniversary year, lies a dedication to honoring the charm and significance of our rich history while embracing new experiences for our guests. Most notably, we embarked on a special project to preserve the historic River Dee and revitalize our cherished Swan Boats ride. We plan to re-open this celebrated, original attraction on Memorial Day weekend and look forward to many more decades of swan rides on the river.
