Six Flags Over Texas has officially kicked off its 2026 season, and it’s a milestone year — the park is celebrating its 65th anniversary season as the oldest Six Flags theme park in the world. Guests can look forward to an exciting lineup of new entertainment, special events, park enhancements, a brand-new ride, and plenty more surprises. Here’s a look at everything new in the park for 2026.
Making its debut later this year, Tormenta Rampaging Run will be the tallest, fastest and longest giga dive coaster in the world. The more than 300-foot coaster will break six world records and redefine the skyline and the thrill-seeker experience. The historic new attraction will tower over a brand-new Spanish village, Rancho de la Tormenta, located in the park’s Spain themed area.

Six Flags Over Texas is celebrating the history of the park in style this year through the new 65th Anniversary Museum on Smith Street near JB’s Smokehouse that will debut later in the season. Longtime fans and history buffs alike will enjoy taking a trip down memory lane with park history, memorabilia and more.
And if you’ve ever dreamed of leaving your mark on the park itself, now’s your chance. Guests can become part of Six Flags history with custom, name-engraved pavers that will be installed near the Silver Star Carousel in Star Mall. These commemorative pavers start at $125 and are available for purchase online. An installation ceremony is planned for later this year — so your name could soon be a lasting piece of the park’s legacy.
