The countdown is on – Canada’s Wonderland opens for the 2026 season on May 3, and this year is shaping up to be one of our most exciting yet.

From the thrilling transformation of a classic coaster to all-new live entertainment, fan-favourite events, incredible new food, and important park updates, there’s so much to look forward to this season.

A Classic Coaster Takes Flight Again: The DareDeviler

One of the biggest stories of the season is the rebirth of a longtime favourite.

Formerly known as Flight Deck (and previously Top Gun), this iconic inverted coaster returns in early summer as The DareDeviler, a bold reimagining inspired by the daring spirit of early aviation and the rich storytelling of the Grande World Expo.

Flight Deck gets new life as The DareDeviler in 2026

With new trains, enhanced comfort, open vest-style restraints, and targeted track refinements, guests can expect the same high-flying thrills they love – now with a smoother, more immersive ride experience.

Expect soaring dives, twisting inversions, and a fresh new story that celebrates the legacy of legendary stunt pilots.

And yes — there’s even a DareDeviler IPA coming to the park this summer, perfect for guests looking to toast a day of thrills.

AlpenFury Returns to Dominate the Skyline in 2026

After its much-anticipated debut last season, AlpenFury is back and ready to thrill all over again as Canada’s longest, tallest and fastest launch coaster. Lock in for an intense double launch that will send you vertical out the top of Wonder Mountain before sending you twisting through nine record-breaking inversions!

The extreme launch coaster continues to anchor our world-class lineup of 18 roller coasters, making Canada’s Wonderland the ultimate destination for thrill seekers in 2026.

Classic Rides Return with Enhancements Across the Park

This season also brings exciting enhancements to some of the park’s most beloved rides, with behind-the-scenes improvements designed to make favourite experiences look better, ride smoother, and create even more memorable family moments.

Guests will notice fresh paint upgrades on Snoopy vs. Red Baron and Snoopy’s Space Race, giving these Planet Snoopy favourites a vibrant new look.

The Character Carrousel has received brand-new flooring, while Flying Eagles has been refreshed with a full repaint and restoration of its signature ride arms, bringing new life to two timeless family attractions.

Families will also love a thoughtful new update at Swing of the Century, where new double-seat baskets are being installed, allowing parents and children to swing side-by-side together.

Thrill fans can look forward to continued infrastructure upgrades as Sledge Hammerreceives new pumps to support the powerful motion and intensity that make it one of the park’s most unique rides.

On Antique Carrousel, several beautifully restored horses will return this season with refreshed detailing and all-new names, adding even more character to this nostalgic guest favourite.

And for wooden coaster fans, the Mighty Canadian Minebuster  continues its major retracking program, with 980 feet of track provided by The Gravity Group using pressure-treated, vertically stacked laminated lumber for increased durability and a smoother ride experience.

It’s all part of Canada’s Wonderland’s ongoing commitment to preserving classic favourites while making every visit even better.

*Note, Sledge Hammer and Mighty Canadian Minebuster will remain closed at the start of the season while we finish these upgrades.
