Coming off the 2025 Camp Snoopy expansion and the debut of Snoopy’s Racing Railway and Charlie Brown’s River Raft Blast, Carowinds is introducing the next evolution of family play with Camp Snoopy Bird Watchers’ Club and Beagle Scout Badge Quest, powered by cutting-edge augmented reality (AR) and radio frequency identification (RFID) technology.

With last year’s addition of Camp Snoopy Bird Watchers’ Club and 2026’s addition of Beagle Scout Badge Quest, Carowinds has created new ways to play and explore. Together, these experiences transform Camp Snoopy into a fully immersive environment where exploration, interactive gaming elements, and storytelling come to life in real time.

Beagle Scout Badge Quest

Designed especially for younger guests and families, Beagle Scout Badge Quest is an interactive scavenger hunt in Camp Snoopy that invites campers on a mission filled with exploration, discovery and playful challenges. As guests make their way through Camp Snoopy, they’ll complete themed activities and earn badges along the way.

To get started, guests can purchase a camper tag at Camp Snoopy retail locations for $17.99. Guests will then activate their camper tag at digital kiosks at the main base camp, located outside Camp Snoopy’s Camp Store. During activation, the player will set up their profile, choose their favorite PEANUTS pal and embark on an adventure by scanning the camper tag at marked locations throughout Camp Snoopy.

Each location unlocks different interactive challenges and mini-games, with the goal of completing each activity to earn Beagle Scout badges throughout the land. The quest features three full levels of challenges before completion. As each challenge is completed, the player’s performance is tracked and ranked on the leaderboard. Progress is saved, allowing players to return across multiple visits to collect all badges.

Camp Snoopy Bird Watcher’s Club

Camp Snoopy Bird Watchers' Club is an exciting AR adventure in the Carowinds mobile app with five immersive games that bring Camp Snoopy to life using the device’s camera. Animated surprises unfold right on your screen and turn Camp Snoopy into an interactive adventure.

While waiting to board select attractions, guests use their smartphone camera to complete challenges, test their skills and climb atop the leaderboard. Each game ties seamlessly into select Camp Snoopy attractions, adding depth and excitement to the story.

Using a cutting-edge Visual Positioning System (VPS), Camp Snoopy Bird Watcher’s Club reacts dynamically to the surrounding environment, adapting to lighting and time of day. The immersive AR experience seamlessly blends the physical world with the digital, creating a next-level attraction for families to enjoy.
