Parents or guardians are responsible for the behavior of their minor children. Appropriate behavior and supervision are the responsibility of the parent/guardian and is always expected. We strongly recommend that minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. The park does not assume any responsibility or liability for unattended minors. CHAPERONE POLICY
The safety of our guests and associates has always been our top priority at Six Flags Great Adventure. In response to the increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior across our industry and at other major entertainment venues, we are taking proactive steps to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.
We are committed to maintaining Six Flags Great Adventure as a place where families and friends can come together to enjoy a one-of-a-kind park full of fun experiences and immersive entertainment.
As part of that commitment, we are implementing a chaperone policy beginning Saturday, September 7th, 2024.
Under this policy, all guests ages 15 years old or younger must be accompanied by a chaperone who is at least 21 years old to be admitted to or remain in the park. The policy will be in effect daily by 5:00 p.m. local time – Six Flags Great Adventure Resort reserves the right to begin enforcing the Chaperone Policy earlier on any given day.
The chaperone must present a valid government-issued photo identification with date of birth at ticket entry. One (1) chaperone may accompany no more than ten (10) guests ages 15 or younger per day. In addition, the chaperone must accompany their party during entry, remain inside the park during their visit, and be available by phone throughout their stay.
Guests 16 years of age or older may be asked to present a valid government issued photo identification (Driver’s license, State Issued ID Card, Passport) with date of birth at entry to verify their age. If unable to verify proof of age, guests may be denied entry into the park. Chaperones must present a valid government-issued photo ID with date of birth.
Pictures of IDs are not accepted.
Guests aged 15 years old or younger who are found inside the park unaccompanied by a chaperone when the Chaperone Policy is in effect will be subject to ejection. This chaperone requirement applies to all Six Flags ticket and season passholders.
We believe these changes will help ensure that Six Flags Great Adventure continues to have a positive atmosphere where generations of families and friends can gather for a day of safe fun and good food. Millions of guests have counted on us for exactly that, and we will continue to deliver on that promise for generations to come.
Notice: Six Flags Great Adventure Resort Security personnel utilize surveillance cameras and body worn cameras as part of their overall security program.
Alcoholic beverages may be purchased by Guests 21 years of age or older. Proper ID is required to purchase and/or consume alcohol.
No alcoholic beverages can be brought into Six Flags Parks. Alcoholic beverages purchased in the park must be consumed before leaving the park. Guests who are intoxicated may be removed from the park without refund. Six Flags Great Adventure reserves the right to take further action against impaired guests where appropriate.
Guests may not enter an animal exhibit or attempt to feed, touch or interact with any Six Flags Great Adventure animal unless directed by a Six Flags employee. Guests must obey signs posted in the Safari.
For the duration of Fright Fest Extreme, Six Flags has implemented enhanced public safety measures, including x-ray screening of all bags.
We expect all guests to behave in a family-friendly manner. Any line jumping, profanity and unruly behavior are considered offensive to other guests and could be ejected from the park without a refund. Saving a spot in line is not permitted and/or bypassing others. If you exit the line and choose to return you must go to the back of the line if you choose to return.
