The Biggest and Brightest Holiday Event of the Year Opens at Six Flags Over Texas
Holiday in the Park® Begins on November 16
ARLINGTON, Texas— November 15, 2018 — Six Flags Over Texas, the Thrill Capital of Texas, undergoes a magical transformation to become a Lone Star state holiday wonderland with Holiday in the Park. Named the Best Themed Park Holiday Event in Texas by USA Today readers, this magical event offers guests the sights, sounds and tastes of the season with a fully immersive experience. The park showcases everything that is merry and bright with more than 2 million twinkling lights, Texas-sized thematic displays, a thrilling sledding adventure on real snow, and the popular hometown holiday experience—Merry Marketplace— the home of Jolly ‘Ol St. Nick. Holiday in the Park runs on select days November 16 through December 30.

Deep in the Heart of Christmas!: It’s a Texas-sized winter wonderland with more than 8.5 miles of mini lights; nearly 14,000 square feet of net lights; a giant Texas flag light canopy over 100 feet in length; Texas-sized ornaments; boots; star and a glittering holiday Texas flag, the Deep in the Heart of Christmas section proves that everything truly is bigger in Texas!
Merry Marketplace features:
- A Personal Visit to Santa’s Outpost: Enjoy a special visit with Santa and share your Christmas wish.
- The Peppermint Parlor: Take in the tastes and smells of scrumptious holiday cookies, including a Texas favorite—Red Velvet cookies.
- Campfire Holiday S’Mores: Create memories and smiles while roasting this tasty treat at the Texas-sized fire pit.
- Johnson’s Creek Critter Corral: take in an up-close encounter with some furry friends.
- St. Nick’s Knick Knacks: Check out some of Santa’s favorite toys for the holidays.
Holiday Tree of Trees Light Spectacular: Towering at nearly 60 feet tall, this combination of 70 Christmas trees is trimmed with thousands of lights dancing magically with computerized precision.
The Frosty Snowhill: Guests can immerse themselves on a thrilling sledding adventure while travelling down a hill made with real snow.
In addition, a variety of entertainment shows and of course more than 40 roller coasters and attractions.
