6 Brilliant Ways to Celebrate the Holidays at the Park

Experience your favorite holiday traditions

A magical holiday celebration kicks off at Six Flags Over Texas on November 19 and this year's spectacular event promises to offer you you everything you need to celebrate the season with family and friends. Here's a quick guide highlighting the top six activities you’ll want to be sure to experience during your visits.

1. Tell Santa what you want for Christmas
Santa has come down from the North Pole and set up shop right here at the park. Kids and kids at heart will get the cherished opportunity to sit on his lap and tell him all their dreams and desires for the holiday season. You also may get to meet Mrs. Claus and some jolly elves along the way.

2. Slide down a snowy hill
Our popular snow sledding hill is back for another white Christmas. Hop on a toboggan with a loved one and slip-slide your way down the slick mountain affectionately called, The Frosty Snow Hill. You’ll get a Texas-sized version of a snow sledding experience without having to travel too far!

3. Sing along to holiday carols
The sounds of jingle bells and harmonized carolers are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Pick up a show guide at the park so you don’t miss one of our cheerful holiday shows. Sing and dance along to heartwarming renditions of classic holiday tunes and modern seasonal variations in shows like “All I Want for Christmas” and “A Jolly Holiday.”

4. Walk under a canopy of twinkling lights
As you walk around the park, millions of dazzling lights will hang from treetops above your head. Stick around after dark to watch the bulbs come to life and illuminate the night with color and radiance. Get a unique holiday card photo in front of our dazzling 65-foot tree!

5. Enjoy unique fresh flavors of the season
Specialty vendors will serve up their most delicious seasonal delights. Keep warm with a cup of hot chocolate, flavored coffees, warm chili, or bubbly soup. Enjoy new fall and winter flavors of your favorite park goodies, including cinnamon apple funnel cakes, homemade pecan pies, cinnamon roasted nuts, seasonal caramel apples, and holiday fudge.

6. Ride through the sky in your own giant sleigh
Dash through the sky on a breathtaking roller coaster and get the holiday views of a lifetime. Check out all the glittering lights from above on Texas SkyScreamer, take in the beautiful sights from the top of Titan, and unwind from your holiday stresses with a charming stroll on the SantaLand Express.
