Park Becomes First in US to partner with Goodr in Fight Against Food Waste and For Sustainability
AUSTELL, Ga — May 17, 2021 — Six Flags Over Georgia – the Thrill Capital of the South –kicks off its longest summer season in decades, with the launch of a new community food partner, the first such partnership by a U.S. theme park. Beginning on May 21, the park will be open daily through Labor Day, September 6. Hurricane Harbor and Six Flags White Water begin daily operation May 28.
Six Flags Over Georgia is now the first U.S. theme park to partner with Goodr, a sustainable waste management company that leverages technology to combat food waste and hunger. This collaborative effort will directly impact food insecurity in metro Atlanta and the surrounding region. Founded by Jasmine Crowe, Goodr provides a winning solution by donating surplus edible food to local non-profits, as well as reducing greenhouse emissions from landfills.

Expanded Summer and A New Twist on a Classic Coaster – THE RIDDLER Mindbender
Six Flags Over Georgia will offer more days of thrills this summer including daily operation through Labor Day. The park will feature exclusive events, which will include a month-long Food and Beverage Experience. Coming soon, THE RIDDLER Mindbender, the world’s first triple looping coaster, will take on a new twist. The historic coaster will feature a fresh, sleek look and new roller coaster trains through a seven-story drop, multiple upside-down loops and reach speeds of 50-miles-per-hour.
Now Hiring for Summer and Fall Seasons
Six Flags Over Georgia recently announced increased wage ranges for a variety of positions for the 2021 season and is now hiring for Summer and Fall. Team members can now earn up to $15 an hour with the most substantial wage increases for food and beverage operations, lifeguard teams, park services, retail and security.
