5 Activities to Do at Holiday in the Park

Celebrate the most wonderful time of year!

Our all-new Holiday in the Park event features magical family fun for all ages. Here are some highlights to look forward to for this year’s celebration.

  1. View millions of dazzling lights and decorations.
Twinkling lights will add brightness and beauty to the night. Millions of colorful LEDs wrap around attractions, line rooftops on our buildings, and hang from trees. Our beautiful light canopy in Main Street is just the beginning to the transformation. A 25-foot Christmas tree in front of the fountain is embellished with shiny ornaments, thousands of lights, and festive garland. Plus, our historic Riverview Carousel creates one of the largest glowing light and walkthrough experience in Atlanta. This iconic display is the backdrop to our holiday celebration.

  2. Experience exclusive family attractions.
Families will enjoy our seasonal winter attractions and themed areas. Each section of the park has a different theme to represent the best delights of the season. Take in the scents in Peppermint Plaza, snuggle up under Merry Mistletoe, and warm up next to toasty fire pits in S’mores Village. Plus, kids of all ages can explore the North Pole to meet Mrs. Claus, jolly elves, reindeer, and of course, Santa Claus.

  3. Sit back and enjoy a festive holiday show.
Your favorite holiday hits come to life with festive shows and carolers. Sing and dance along to your favorite classic songs of the season. Each show has a different storyline with different styles of holiday music, ranging from classical to pop to country. Catch live carolers and strolling entertainment, listen to the sounds of local talent, and more.

  4. Sample tasty treats and seasonal delights.
Exclusively for this time of year, you can indulge in special holiday treats. Vendors will serve up their most delicious recipes, made fresh at the park. You’ll enjoy warm beverages like flavored coffees, hot chocolate, chili, and soup in bread bowls. Satisfy your sweet tooth with new funnel cake toppings, seasonal ice cream flavors, cinnamon roasted nuts, exclusive pretzels in apple cinnamon and pumpkin spice, and caramel apples.

  5. Enjoy many of your favorite rides.
You may not be able to dash through the snow on a one-horse open sleigh, but you can fly through the sky on a thrilling roller coaster. Check out all the holiday lights from the top of your favorite rides, including Goliath, Georgia Scorcher, and Dahlonega Mine Train. If you prefer to take it easy and unwind from your holiday stresses, enjoy a charming turn around on the Candlelight Carousel or a stroll through 140,000 twinkling lights on the North Pole Express.
