6 Brilliant Ways to Celebrate the Holidays at the Park
Experience your favorite holiday traditions
The most magical holiday celebration ever kicks off at Six Flags Over Georgia on November 19. At this year’s spectacular event, you’ll find everything you need to celebrate the most wonderful time of year in the best way possible. We’ve put together a guide of the top six activities you’ll want to be sure to experience.
1. Tell Santa what you want for Christmas
Santa has come down from the North Pole and set up shop right here at the park. Kids and kids at heart will get the cherished opportunity to sit on his lap and tell him all their dreams and desires for the holiday season. You also may get to meet Mrs. Claus and some jolly elves along the way.
2. Sing along to holiday carols
The sounds of jingle bells and harmonized carolers are sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Pick up a show guide at the park so you don’t miss one of our cheerful holiday shows. Sing and dance along to heartwarming renditions of classic holiday tunes and modern seasonal variations in shows like “Because It’s Christmas” and “Have Yourself a Looney Tunes Christmas.”
3. Walk under a canopy of twinkling lights
As you walk around the park, millions of dazzling lights will hang from treetops above your head. Stick around after dark to watch the bulbs come to life and illuminate the night with color and radiance. Each section of the park has their own theme and color, including Peppermint Plaza, Retro Christmas USA, and A Georgia Christmas.
4. Enjoy unique fresh flavors of the season
Specialty vendors will serve up their most delicious seasonal delights. Keep warm with a cup of hot chocolate, flavored coffees, warm chili, or bubbly soup. Enjoy new fall and winter flavors of your favorite park goodies, including apple cinnamon or pumpkin spice pretzels, red velvet funnel cakes, cinnamon roasted nuts, gingerbread ice cream, seasonal caramel apples, and holiday fudge.
5. Experience a giant Carousel light show
Our iconic Riverview Carousel gets lit up for the holidays to create a captivating, glowing sight. The canopy will be covered in nearly 94,000 lights, 1,350 feet of garland, 1,200 ornaments, and over 200 luminary candles.
6. Ride through the sky in your own giant sleigh
Dash through the sky on a breathtaking roller coaster and get the holiday views of a lifetime. Check out all the glittering lights from above on Acrophobia, take in the beautiful sights from the top of Goliath, and unwind from your holiday stresses with a charming stroll on the North Pole Express.
