“Six Flags New England is geared up for a thrill packed season with an incredible ticket offer that benefits two extremely worthwhile organizations in Newtown,” said park president John Winkler. “New for park guests this season, we are expanding New England’s largest water park with the all new Bonzai Pipelines slide complex. Bonzai Pipelines will be the tallest water slides in Hurricane Harbor.”

Six Flag New England is the Thrill Capital of New England and is gearing up for an incredible 2013 with the addition of Bonzai Pipelines, Whistlestop Park, Season Dining Passes and new shows. Whistlestop Park is home to a classic theme park ride, Whistlestop Train as well as the all-new Season Pass Processing center. Bonzai Pipelines is the ultimate in water park thrills featuring six looping slides set atop a 75-foot tower. After reaching the top of the 6-story structure, guests will step into the state-of-the-art ‘DrenalineDrop’ launching capsule where the floor drops out beneath them, sending riders free-falling down the slide, twisting and turning before landing in a refreshing splash pool. Riders will surf the 257-foot slide at up to 40 miles per hour. Bonzai Pipelines’ unique clear launching tubes allow spectators to be a part of the action. The addition of Bonzai Pipelines to New England’s largest water park solidifies Hurricane Harbors place as the biggest, wettest, wildest water park in the Northeast. Bonzai Pipelines will make its debut late spring.
Entertainment hits the street throughout the entire park in 2013. Six Flags New England’s first official dance crew will kick off opening weekend with three amazing performances on Saturday, April 13. Be a part of this incredible, high-energy production as they dance to the beat of today’s top hits. Don’t miss Six Flags’ new summer show lineup including Pets Overboard — join the captain and critter crew searching for lost treasure using their learned special skills in this high seas adventure. After the show, meet these loveable dogs and cats that have come from animal shelters from around the country.
For those in the mood for some sweet treats, a visit to the all-new Six Below featuring Breyers ice cream, milk shakes and chocolate dipped bananas is in order. If spicy is the name of the game, try the all-new Macho Nacho Mexican Grill located in Rockville. Macho Nacho Grill will feature chicken and steak burritos, burrito bowls, tacos and nachos. Looking for a way to stay cool during the hot summer months, new frozen lemonade and fresh squeezed lemonade will quench any thirst and recharge guests for hours of fun in the park. And back by popular demand, broccoli alfredo and ziti will be served hot and fresh at Primo’s Pizza. Additionally, new pizza toppings will be available at Primo Pizza locations including veggie, meat lovers and buffalo chicken. Guests will have a hard time leaving hungry with all of the new exciting food options.
Also on tap for 2013, Six Flags New England is excited to offer an all-new Season Dining Pass. A Season Dining Pass allows guests to eat one lunch and one dinner every time they visit the park. The program is added to the guest’s Season Pass so it’s as easy as walking up to a participating dining location, ordering from the pre-selected menu, and swiping the participant’s Season Pass for a great meal. The pass can be purchased online for $69.99 per Season Pass, which allows guests to utilize the program from April 13 – September 15, 2013.
Six Flags New England is also introducing a new Weather Guarantee program. If the weather causes a majority of our rides to close for an extended period, Six Flags New England will offer a complimentary return pass. Certain rules and restrictions apply. We guarantee 100% fun with this forecast!
The park’s opening weekend hours are 10 a.m.–9 p.m. on Saturday and 10:30 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday. The park is open daily for Spring Break April 15–21.
