Unique Things to Do at Magic Mountain
One-of-a-kind experiences you won’t find anywhere else
Our collection of unique attractions is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. We have one-of-a-kind rides and once-in-a-lifetime family activities that you won’t find anywhere else. Check out this list of exclusive experiences only available at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
1. Six Flags Magic Mountain has the biggest collection of roller coasters in the world!
No matter how old you are, there’s something just right for you. With 19 scream machines, you need a whole day just to decide which are your favorites.
2. Helpful Honda Express is one of California’s rare funicular railways.
A funicular is an inclined railway that transports passengers up a steep hillside. Magic Mountain’s Helpful Honda Express is one of the park’s original rides and carries guests from the fountain plaza area to the top of Samurai Summit. We are the only theme park in the nation to boast one of these unusual transportation systems.
3. Step up to the tallest standup coaster in the world.
It’s standing room only. THE RIDDLER’s Revenge opened as the tallest and longest standup coaster in the world in 1998. It has never been topped.
4. The world’s first vertical loop is at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
Commemorating the country's bicentennial, The New Revolution opened in 1976 as The Great American Revolution and featured the world's first 360-degree vertical loop. Notable as one of the very first ACE Roller Coaster Landmark designations given out by American Coaster Enthusiasts in 2002, the Revolution has thrilled over 40 million riders in the 40 years since it opened. To celebrate its 40-year anniversary, the ride was re-painted, the trains re-engineered, and a new revolution of technology was added to the ride - Virtual Reality- making it The New Revolution for generations of thrill-seekers to come.
5. You can play in the only kid’s section that features four roller coasters.
We know coasters, but we also love kids. Bugs Bunny World features four roller coasters geared toward the youngest thrill-seekers, the most of any theme park in the U.S.
6. Soar on the nation’s first thrill ride to go 100 mph.
Before the turn of the millennium, Magic Mountain was working on something dramatic. In a two-year process from 1996 to 1997, the park installed and refined SUPERMAN The Escape, the first ride in the U.S. to go an amazing 100 m.p.h. in just seven seconds. In 2011, the ride was given a wild twist — the trains were reversed and now riders plunge face-first more than 300 feet straight down. It was redubbed SUPERMAN: Escape from Krypton.
