6 Things to Add to Your Summer Bucket List
Once-in-a-lifetime experiences and adventures
We want to help you build up your summertime bucket list full of adventure. This is your summer to break a world record, overcome a fear, and try something new. Here are some of the most amazing dreams and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities you can achieve at La Ronde.
1. Explore the brand new Maison Rouge
You can be one of the first to check Maison Rouge off your list. This all-new haunted attraction offers a terrifying experience unlike any other at the park. You’ll have to navigate twisted hallways and dark rooms as demented clowns follow you around every corner.
2. Experience an authentic river cruise
Perhaps one of the most common bucket list items is a wet and wild river experience. Pitoune gives you this adventure without having to leave Montreal. The classic flume ride will simulate a true river cruise as you float down a scenic stream in your very own carved-out log. Watch out for the raging waterfall at the end!
3. Conquer a fear of heights on a drop tower
This is your summer to conquer one of your biggest fears, and there’s no better way to do it than by dropping down Orbite. This sky-scraping drop tower stands 192 feet tall. You’ll blast up to the top, hang out for a moment to check out the views, and enjoy a feeling of weightlessness as you plummet back down.
4. Ride the legendary Monstre
This legendary beast will take you on a ride to remember. This classic is one of the tallest wooden coasters in the world. Monstre was custom designed for our park, so there’s nowhere else you’ll find thrills like this. You’ll tackle a series of high-airtime drops up to 40 meters tall, curving around turns and diving down hills at 96 kilometers per hour.
5. Fly through the air
Many people wish to skydive, bungee jump, or even fly for the ultimate free-falling thrill. Catapult delivers a similar experience. Held by a cable, you’ll pull backwards up 15 stories and dangle in the air for a moment. When the lever releases, you’ll feel your stomach tighten as you free-fall down and swing back and forth above the park.
6. Be a part of history on the Spirale
Get the best views of the park and the surrounding city from the top of Spirale. This iconic orange tower debuted at the 1967 World’s Exhibition and has been a guest favorite ever since. No coaster can compete with its height as you slowly lift to the top of the 73-meter tower. The elevator spins around slowly, offering unique breathtaking 360-degree views of the area.
