SIX FLAGS GREAT ESCAPE ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW RESORT PRESIDENT
LAKE GEORGE, NY — March 20, 2019 — Six Flags Great Escape Resort announced the appointment of Rebecca Wood as its new resort president. She joined the Six Flags Great Escape team in 2009 as the Communications Manager and most recently served as the Director of Marketing and Sales. A graduate of St. Bonaventure University, Rebecca is a tireless ambassador for the park and Six Flags throughout the northeast, as she currently sits on the Board of Directors on several civic organizations.
Tom Iven, Senior Vice President of Operations at Six Flags was on the property to share this announcement with the Great Escape team. “Rebecca’s knowledge of the current market and applicable experience at the Great Escape property make her the perfect choice to lead this extraordinary resort into the future”, said Iven. “It is with unbelievable excitement that I take on this new role. Six Flags Great Escape Resort is an incredible destination for visitors to the Lake George region, and I am honored to lead our amazing team. I am excited for what the future holds, and know that we will continue to deliver unforgettable experiences to all of our visitors”, said Wood.
Rebecca, her husband Mike, and their three children, Gabe, Emily, and Jake currently reside in Kingsbury, New York, along with three dogs.
