PADS SleepOut for Shelter
Sleep one night outside, so someone else doesn't have to!
Our community needs you, homelessness happens right within our community but you can help.
For more than 40 years, PADS has faithfully been providing immediate, critical services to the members of out community most in need – individuals and families that are experiencing homelessness in Lake County.
Like a hospital emergency room, PADS is the first point of contact and the ONLY emergency shelter for the homeless in Lake County. In fact, PADS is often the only hope for someone facing a long night in the harrowing cold or blistering heat.
How you can help!
Proceeds from the event go towards supporting the vital programs and services that PADS Lake County provides to the scores of men, women, and children experiencing homelessness in our community. Participants will be able to enjoy time at the park, including exclusive ride time after hours!
SleepOut for Shelter is a communitywide, educational experience and fundraiser designed to give participants a small sense of what it would feel like to be homeless. It brings attention to an issue that most people rarely think about.
By participating, you are agreeing to sleep outside for merely one night, raising awareness and funds - so that others are not forced to ever sleep outside.
SleepOut participants will enter the park through our Hurricane Harbor Season Pass and Membership entrance via the parking lot. We recommend parking near the Hurricane Harbor entrance!
Registration begins at 5 p.m.
SleepOut participants have exclsuive ride time on select rides after park close until 9 p.m.
There will be various activities taking place in the Southwest Territory area of the park until 11 p.m. then it's LIGHTS OUT!
