5 Important Steps to Take Before You Visit
By planning for your visit a few days ahead of time, you’ll build up anticipation and reduce effort when you arrive. Find out when to visit, what to bring, where to buy tickets, and how to make the most of your day. Take a few quick steps to prepare for your visit before you leave the house.
1. Check our park hours.
Our operating may vary by day. Check the calendar on our website for the latest schedule on the day you plan to visit. Arrive close to opening and stay until closing to make sure you have plenty of time to experience everything. Our website also shows what special events are happening at the park. You may be able to participate in some of the activities, while others will be open to specific groups that draw extra visitors that day.
2. Buy your tickets online.
You can save time and money when you buy your tickets in advance from our website. Depending on the day you visit, you could save up to $20 on general admission. Store your tickets on your phone or print them out and skip the ticket booths at the park – just head straight to the front gate. You can also buy parking, Meal Deals, photo passes, THE FLASH Passes, and other useful items for your visit.
3. Download the Six Flags mobile app.
You’ll want to load our app on your phone before you get to the park. The free iPhone and Android app gives you access to everything you need for your visit right at your fingertips. While you’re in the park, use the interactive map to navigate to your next ride, view ride wait times for our most popular attractions, and check out show and character meet-and-greet schedules. You can also use the app to order food, view restaurant menus and ride descriptions, check park hours and special events, buy tickets, and manage your Season Pass account.
4. Pack a light bag.
You don’t want to lug around a heavy bag, but you need some essential items to stay carefree all day. Put on your most comfortable walking shoes and grab an extra pair of socks. Springtime weather can be a bit unpredictable; Pack up a light jacket and a disposable poncho to be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has in store. Wear sunglasses and apply sunscreen before you leave – plus bring the entire bottle with you to re-apply it throughout the day. Put your phone, money, and personal items in a clear plastic bag to make it easy to scan at security and keep them dry against drizzly weather and water rides. Pack your small bag and set it by the front door to grab when you leave.
5. Gather your group.
The more, the merrier! Get your group together to spend a day at the park. Tell your whole gang you’re heading to the park and everyone’s invited. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion, family reunion, company achievement, or just a get-together with your best friends, everyone can get in on the fun. If you recruit 15 people to visit with you, you’ll also get discounted admission rates!
