Business & Marketing Education Day
Learn the FUN side of Business!
What better way to teach students about marketing than to apply classroom lessons to a place they love to visit. This has been a staple class trip for business and hospitality classes for many years and takes place on a day when the theme park is open ONLY for students.
Join the Six Flags Great Adventure Marketing Department as we explore what it takes to market a theme park and make it in today's business world!
Hospitality classes will love the chance to hear from and talk to Six Flags professionals from all departments. Marketing, Human Resources, Operations, Culinary Services, Merchandise and Entertainment will all be represented to give you an inside look at what we do.
Each year Six Flags creates a new challenge that asks students to design a business plan for everything from a new concert or sporting event to marketing non-profits. Tying in these classroom principles to a theme park makes this event a favorite and helps participants gain insight into a future career. Participating students compete for theme park tickets. Winners are announced at Showcase Theatre following the 11 a.m. presentation.
This worksheet helps your students see the marketing as they walk through the park. Use it to start a conversation about different principles they see throughout their day.
