6 Things to Add to Your Summer Bucket List
We want to help you build up your summertime bucket list full of adventure. This is your summer to break a world record, overcome a fear, and try something new. Here are some of the most amazing dreams and once-in-a-lifetime opportunities you can achieve at Six Flags Great Adventure.
1. Try out El Diablo.
You can be one of the first to check El Diablo off your list. This looping coasters offers a new experience unlike any other at the park. You’ll soar around and around the seven story loop, stopping upside-down for ultimate airtime and then reversing directions.
2. Experience an authentic white water rafting adventure.
Perhaps one of the most common bucket list items is a daring white water river experience. Congo Rapids gives you this adventure without having to leave Jackson. The wet and wild ride will simulate a true raging river as you float through untamed currents, twist into waterfalls, and get drenched with every wave.
3. Conquer a fear of heights on the world’s tallest drop ride.
This is your summer to conquer one of your biggest fears, and there’s no better way to do it than by dropping down one of the world’s tallest drop rides, Zumanjaro: Drop of Doom. This sky-scraping tower stands 415 feet tall. You’ll pause at the top to check out the view before free-falling back down at 90 miles per hour.
4. Ride the continent’s tallest and fastest coaster.
It’s only here you’ll find the legendary Kingda Ka. This record-breaker is the tallest and fastest roller coaster in North America, standing 456 feet high and reaching 128 miles per hour.
5. Fly through the air.
Many people wish to skydive, bungee jump, or even fly for the ultimate free-falling thrill. Dare Devil Dive delivers a similar experience. Held by a cable, you’ll pull backwards up 15 stories and dangle in the air for a moment. When the lever releases, you’ll feel your stomach tighten as you free-fall down and swing back and forth above the park.
6. Ride the waves at Hurricane Harbor.
Get an ocean-like experience at our water park next door. The 696,000-gallon Blue Lagoon creates giant waves that simulate ocean surf. Grab a tube and rise over each crest, or take it on freestyle, body-surfing with each wave.
