New ‘Soaring Eagle Zipline’ to Debut this Spring As Six Flags Fiesta Texas Makes Valentine’s Day Announcement

SAN ANTONIO, Texas -- February 14, 2015 — Six Flags Fiesta Texas today announced a new attraction perfect for couples to enjoy and available this spring, Soaring Eagle Zipline, located near Rockville High. For a nominal fee, guests may soar like an eagle from atop the quarry wall   for a breathtaking bird’s eye view directly over Superman Krypton Coaster and portions of Rockville (including the new Batman: The Ride 4D Coaster), as they sail along effortlessly in special side-by-side seating. Soaring Eagle Zipline adds to the already impressive list of daring adventures for guests to Fiesta Texas.

On most zipline attractions you ride alone, but with Soaring Eagle Zipline you may now have a companion along for this unparalleled flying experience. Once guests are seated and secured on the ride, they briskly travel forward-and-backward over 1500 feet, and climb nearly 155 feet in the air, well above the park’s distinctive quarry walls. Once at the top, the descent begins as you race back to earth with the wind in your hair flying over Superman Krypton Coaster’s track a total of six times along your park-wide aerial journey. Picking up speed as you approach the loading station, you are safely decelerated and brought back once again to the ride station. Be sure to check out the new adrenaline rush!  Designed for the entire family, the height requirement will be just 40”.

Coming this summer, Fiesta Texas will debut the most exciting coaster ever in park history, Batman: The Ride.  This 4th dimension free-fly coaster brings thrill seekers an experience of exhilarating coaster hills, and is guaranteed to flip riders head-over-heels at least six times.
