‘Rockin’ at Rockville High’ Holds Final Graduation at Fiesta Texas
One show in particular has drawn crowds year after year at Six Flags Fiesta Texas since the park opened back in 1992. “Rockin’ at Rockville High,” a time-travel experience back into the ‘50s era featured a storyline highlighted with choreographed song and dance, along with a wardrobe of letterman sweaters and poodle skirts.
Some of the popular selections performed by an energetic cast through the years included the ‘50s classics “Johnny B. Good,” “Long Tall Sally,” “Tutti Frutti” and “Rock-n-Roll Music". Over the years the original “Rockin’ at Rockville High” was complemented by variations of the show including the ‘60s “Reflections at Rockville High” and the ‘70s “Groovin’ at Rockville High,” along with “Reunion at Rockville High.”
“Rockin’ at Rockville High” is the longest running show in park history and, alas, is now closing after 22 years and will be retired as another phase of our Rockville Urban Renewal Project is unveiled.
Time marches on here at Fiesta Texas, and although we recently retired our car attraction, Motorama Turnpike and now “Rockin’ at Rockville High,” exciting additions are coming as we renovate the entire area.
Don’t forget, your last chance to sing along to this Fiesta Texas show classic before the final curtain drops is September 1!
