We've just launched a new loyalty program!

We are launching a new loyalty program just for our Members! Members can now earn free food, souvenirs, tickets and one-of-a-kind in-park experiences just for riding rides, seeing shows, and having a great time at the park! Six Flags Membership Rewards is completely free for eligible Gold Plus, Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite Members.

Who Can Participate

Six Flags Membership Rewards is free for all Gold Plus, Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite Members living in the US who are over the age of 12. Members must have their own email address to participate. For full details about eligibility, check the program rules.You must have a Six Flags Membership to participate.

Earning Points

There are a LOT of different ways to earn points -- some of which can be earned through virtually no effort on your part. But before you can earn any points, you MUST have a Six Flags Membership and you MUST register for Six Flags Membership Rewards (it's a legal thing).

Here are just SOME of the ways Members can earn points:

Visiting the ParkYou'll get 50 points every day you visit/enter our park! You'll get bonus points every time you visit other Six Flags parks.
Riding RidesYou can earn 3 points for every ride you check in to with our mobile app. Pro tip: You don't actually have to go on the ride to check in to it!
Seeing ShowsYou'll earn 6 points for each participating park show you check in at.
Buying StuffYou'll earn 25 points for every dollar you spend in the park at most shops and restaurants.
Entering ContestsYou can earn bonus points for participating in and winning various online and in-park contests.
Doing Other StuffIn addition to the above, we're going to award plenty of points for doing other things like reading our newsletter, taking surveys, and much more!

Six Flags Membership Rewards is a new, points-based loyalty program where you'll get 50 points each time you visit the park; 3 points for every ride you go on and 6 points for every show you see. You'll also get 25 points for each dollar you spend at most in-park restaurants and shops, and bonus points for participating in contests, taking surveys, and reading the park newsletter!

Redeeming Rewards

Members can choose to spend their points on a wide variety of Six Flags rewards, ranging from pretzels, to VIP guided tours of the park, to free tickets for friends. To keep things interesting and fun, we'll rotate the rewards in and out so there is always something new and fun to choose. Some of the awards include:

Cashing in your points is easy. Just send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to....just kidding. You can redeem your points instantly and at any time through either the Member Services portal or the Six Flags mobile app. You choose the reward you want from the list, click "Redeem" and you you can immediately use your reward at the park.

Program Overview 

When can Members start earning points?

New and current Gold Plus, Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite Members can start earning points on August 30, 2018 after they register for the program at mypass.sixflags.com. There is no additional cost to participate.

How do Members earn points?

There are a variety of different ways. The most basic (and most important) are visiting the park, visiting/checking in to rides, attending shows and spending money in the park. There are also a number of different bonus/promotional ways that Members can earn points which will be promoted through the Member Newsletter and Member Services Online.

What kind of prizes can Members redeem points for?

We’ve assembled a wide variety of different awards with a big range of point values. Guests will easily be able to earn small rewards while some of the bigger rewards will take some time to earn. Below is a partial list of the rewards that we have setup:

Will Six Flags Membership Rewards create longer lines at the park?

We are confident that Six Flags Membership Rewards will not negatively impact any of our guests.

  • Scanning into the park: To receive points, Members will scan into the park the same way they always do.
  • Purchasing food or merchandise: Members already scan their cards to receive their 20%, 25%, 35% or 50% discounts. No additional scanning will be required to receive points.
  • Checking in to rides: Members can check into each ride anywhere near the entrance, the exit, or the ride lockers. There won't be a line to check in

We will of course be monitoring the program and the feedback from guests to ensure that Membership Rewards is functioning as it should.

When can new or existing Members register for the program?

All eligible Members may register for the program beginning August 30, 2018. This includes both new and Members who already own a Gold Plus, Platinum, Diamond or Diamond Elite Membership.

Who Can Participate 

Can regular Members or Gold Members participate in Six Flags Membership Rewards?

No. But both regular and Gold Members are welcome to upgrade to an eligible level of Membership at any time through the upgrade process at mypass.sixflags.com.

How much does it cost to participate in Membership Rewards?

Six Flags Membership Rewards is FREE for all Gold Plus, Platinum, Diamond, and Diamond Elite Members. This includes Members who signed up before the Membership program was launched.

I'm a Member. Do I have to participate in Membership Rewards?

Absolutely not. Six Flags Membership Rewards is intended to make your visits more fun (especially once we start doing contests) and it is supposed to give our loyal customers a little bit of an extra reward in appreciation for everything they do for us. If you don't want to participate you do not have to.

Six Flags Membership Rewards is an opt-in type program -- we won't assign you any points unless you explicitly sign up for the program.

Who can participate in Six Flags Membership Rewards?

Only Six Flags Members may participate in Six Flags Membership Rewards who meet ALL of the following criteria described in the Terms & Conditions, but simplified here as:

  • Must be an active (valid, account in good standing) Gold Plus Member, Platinum Member, Diamond Member or Diamond Elite Member.
  • Season Pass Holders, Thrill Pass Holders, Single Ticket Holders and other types of legacy, classic Members (regular and Gold) are NOT able to participate in Six Flags Membership Rewards.
  • Must be a resident of the USA, including Puerto Rico.
  • Must be at least 13 years of age. Teens between 13 and 18 may only participate if the parents approve.
  • Must have their own unique email address (can’t share with someone else).
  • Must NOT be a Six Flags employee OR someone who regularly works at/on a Six Flags property, such as an employee of a concessionaire or lessee.

Can Season Pass Holders participate in Six Flags Membership Rewards?

No. Six Flags Membership Rewards is a benefit of our Membership program, which any of our guests are welcome to join. On an annual basis it costs a little bit more than Season Passes, but if you're someone who likes to visit the park it is very easy to make up the difference. Members get considerably more discounts than Season Pass Holders or Single Ticket Holders.

Why is your rewards program only for Members?

When we launched the Six Flags Membership program our vision was to create a program that would offer our fans the very best Six Flags experience imaginable -- every visit. Our promise was to offer our guests more value, more savings, and a richer Pass Holder experience than ever before.

Six Flags Membership Rewards is an extension of that promise.

Realistically, any of our guests can choose to become a Member. Anyone who visits a lot should become a Member because with all of the discounts and special benefits, Membership makes sense both financially and from an entertainment standpoint. Six Flags Membership Rewards should, we hope, create an even better experience.

Why can’t children under the age of 13 enroll?

There are legal and ethical considerations that prevent us from allowing children under the age of 13 from enrolling in Six Flags Membership Rewards.

Privacy Considerations: There are laws (most notably the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 "COPPA") that closely regulates the collection of information from children under the age of 13. Because our program is at its heart an online program (which requires online registration) our program is subject to this law, which basically says we should not collect personal information from children without the express, verifiable permission of their parents.

Laws aside, collecting personal information from children and tracking the activities and behavior of children is problematic at best. That's why you will find very few loyalty programs or online programs that allow children to participate.

Communications: We require that every participant has a unique email address. We need this in order to communicate with our Members about their accounts, and in many cases we'll use this to track and reward you for your activities. However, we cannot knowingly send email to children under the age of 13.

Pro Tip: If you spend money on your children at the park -- just be sure to swipe your Six Flags Membership when you make the purchase and not your child's card. That way you'll still get credit for all of the money you spend in the park.

Why is Six Flags Membership Rewards limited to US residents?

Every country has their own laws related to privacy and rewards programs. While the Six Flags program may be perfectly legal in Canada and Mexico, we have not yet completed the necessary work to guarantee that it is. Until this work is finished we can only allow residents of the United States to participate.

Program Enrollment 

Are Six Flags Members automatically registered for Six Flags Member Rewards?

No. To participate in Six Flags Members rewards, Members must log into their online Membership portal and register. Registration is easy and involves checking a box acknowledging awareness of the program terms and conditions.

How do Members enroll in Six Flags Membership Rewards?

  • Visit Membership Services Online at mypass.sixflags.com on or after August 30
  • Register for an account if you don’t already have one. During the registration process you will be asked if you want to participate in Six Flags Membership Rewards. If you check the box you will be opted in.
  • If you already have an account, click the button at the top of the page asking you to register and then check the box indicating that you want to participate.
  • You will receive a confirmation email that will provide you instructions for confirming your email address. Click the link in the email you receive and your Six Flags Rewards account will be activated and you may begin to accrue points.

Do guests start earning points as soon as they become Members? Before they enroll in Membership Rewards?

No. Members must explicitly opt in to the Six Flags Membership Rewards program before they can start to accrue any Membership points. Members will start to earn points as soon as they register for the program at mypass.sixflags.com.

Do Members who joined the Membership program before August 30, 2018 have to register for the Six Flags Membership Rewards program, or are they automatically registered?

Eligible individuals who joined the Membership program before August 30 cannot earn or redeem any points until they officially enroll in the Six Flags Membership Rewards program. Nobody is automatically enrolled in Six Flags Membership Rewards. This is a legal requirement.

Do eligible Members who joined the Membership program before August 30, 2018 get credit (points) for any activities prior to the time they registered for Six Flags Membership Rewards?

No. Legally and in accordance with the Six Flags Membership Rewards Terms & Conditions we cannot assign ANY points to guests that were earned prior to the guest opting in to Six Flags Membership Rewards. There are also technical considerations as well -- we didn't have the systems in place until the program launched.

WHY don’t eligible Members receive credit for activities prior to the start of the Membership program?

There are a couple of reasons. First, we don’t have a consistent record of guest activities prior to the launch of the program. We certainly didn’t assign points for any of that activity/behavior. While we might theoretically be able to go back and find some activity, it wouldn’t be consistent across participants and consequently wouldn’t be fair.

Why is each participant required to have a unique email address?

<p>There are a couple of reasons for this. First, email addresses are used as the account identifier for each Member – it is how we differentiate one participant from another, and in some cases it is how we credit Members for their Six Flags related activities. If multiple people share the same email address it is impossible for us to give credit where credit is due.</p>
<p>The second reason is that we regularly communicate with each of our Members about specific benefits and privileges they may have earned and it can get very confusing when one person using an email address earns something and someone else using the same email address has not.</p>

Earning Points 

I’ve earned some points. Why can’t I see them in my account?

While some points may appear in your account immediately after they are earned, most of our systems are updated every morning by 6:00 AM CST. Unless otherwise specifically indicated, all of your points will appear in your account within 24 hours of you earning them.

What do I do if I earned points and they didn’t appear in my account after 24 hours?

Visit Member Services Online and click the link labeled “Missing Points.” We will ask you to provide some information and we will investigate the issue. Be sure to save your receipt.

How do I earn points by visiting the park?

Each day you visit (enter) a participating Six Flags park you will receive 50 points. These points will automatically be added to your account as a result of you using your Six Flags Membership card to enter the park – no additional action is required on your part. The points will appear in your account within 24 hours.

I visited TWO separate Six Flags parks on the same day…

Sorry, participants will be granted credit for visiting one Six Flags park per calendar day, regardless of how many different parks they visit or how many times they enter. Best to just enjoy one park each day.

Is there anything special I need to do when I visit to get points for visiting?

No. You will automatically receive credit visiting the park when you use your Membership card to enter the park. There is nothing else you need to do.

How do I earn points by making purchases at the park?

You can earn 25 points for every dollar you spend at participating in-park shops and restaurants at any participating Six Flags theme parks and waterparks. To earn points for your purchase, present your Six Flags Membership card at the point of purchase at the beginning of each transaction you make.

You can't split your points across multiple cards, so if you want to split up the points you must split up your transaction.

Pro Tip: Even though children under the age of 13 can't participate in Six Flags Membership rewards, you can still get points for their purchases! Make sure you swipe your card whenever you make a purchase at the park.

Can I spread the points for a transaction around to multiple people in my party?

No. Only one Six Flags Membership Rewards participant may receive points for an individual transaction. If you want to split the points between two separate participants, make two separate transactions.

Where CAN'T I earn points from making purchases at the park?

A few restaurants and shops in each of our parks are unable to issue points. This is due to the fact that they are not owned by Six Flags and use a cash register system that is not attached to the Six Flags network. Restaurants and shops that are not participating in the program will have signs indicating their lack of participation.

It is currently not possible to earn points at the following locations:

  • Restaurants and shops with signs indicating that they aren’t participating
  • Freestanding food or merchandise kiosks marked by signs
  • Six Flags Great Escape Lodge (including indoor water park)
  • Six Flags website (online purchases)
  • Games, unless they have signs saying that they offer points

Food credit, merchandise credit and tickets purchased from a third-party retailer, travel agency, or other vendor are not eligible for points.

Do Members receive points for some online purchases?

Not at this time.

This is something we are looking at though. Our plan is to continue to grow and enhance the Membership Rewards program over time. If we begin to offer points for online purchases we will let all participants know on the website and in the Membership Newsletter

Do I receive points for ALL purchases at the park?

No. You only receive points from participating restaurants and shops. You do not receive credit for playing games, buying tickets, buying dining passes or riding passes, Flash Passes, or paid rides/attractions.

How do I earn points for riding rides?

Six Flags Membership Rewards allows you to earn points for every ride you visit. To earn points for visiting a ride:

Stand near the ride.

Stand anywhere in the vicinity of the entrance, exits, or lockers of the ride you want points for.

Find the ride in our mobile app.

Go to the ride page of the attraction you are visiting in the Six Flags mobile app. The easiest way to do that is to click the ride on the park map.

Check in.

Click the "Check In" button on the ride page.

Considerations

You can only check into each ride once per visit. While the app will let you press the button as many times as you like, you will only get credit for your first visit to the ride that day.

You do not actually have to ride every ride. Not everyone wants to ride both our tallest coaster and our smallest kiddie ride -- but you can still get credit for both. Checking in only requires that you stand in the immediate vicinity of the ride's entrance, exit or lockers.

Points for checking in will appear by 6 AM the day after your visit. We know it would be a lot more fun if the points showed up immediately. However, technical considerations do not make this possible at this time.

Redeeming Rewards 

Will all of the prizes/awards be available at all of the parks?

No. In an effort to offer as much variety as possible, some prizes/awards are uniquely offered at specific parks. Your redemption portal will specifically show you which items are available for the park you are planning to visit.
