Event Agenda

Thursday, September 8, 2022

8 a.m. – 5 p.m.:

- BOD meeting AIMS INTL at J.W. Marriott Resort.

8 a.m. – 5 p.m.:

- BOD meeting National Roller Coaster Museum at J. W. Marriott Resort.

7 p.m. – 10 p.m.:

- AIMS, NRCMA board members, and spouses enjoy a private dinner together at
  Natural Bridge Caverns. Transportation provided.

Friday, September 9, 2022

8 a.m.

- Tee time for Golf Event at J.W. Marriott, The Oaks TCP Golf Course
  •REGISTRATION REQUIRED, Walt Bowser, coordinator, Baynum Painting

10 a.m. 5 p.m.:

- EVENT REGISTRATION at J.W. Marriott Resort / Sunday House

GOLDEN TICKET AWARDS OPENING NIGHT:

6 p.m.:

- Transportation provided for an evening at Morgan’s Wonderland
  Busses depart J.W. Marriott Conference Center
  NOTE: Due to LIMITED PARKING at Morgan’s, GTA attendees are encouraged
  to take provided bus transportation.

6:30: p.m.

- Guests arrive at Morgan’s Wonderland

6:30 p.m. – 7:45 p.m.:

- Cocktail hour / park tours / rides operational

8:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.:

- Dinner hosted by Morgan’s Wonderland at Event Center
  Amusement Today presents a brief recap of 2020 and 2021 GTA’s
  KEYNOTE ADDRESS: Morgan’s Wonderland founder Gordon Hartman.

10 p.m.:

- Busses depart from Morgan’s Wonderland to J.W. Marriott.

Saturday, September 10, 2022

9 a.m. – 11 a.m.:

- LATE EVENT REGISTRATION at J.W. Marriott Resort / Sunday House

Attendees depart on their own for Six Flags Fiesta Texas, 17000 Interstate 10 West, San Antonio, Texas 78257

PARK OPEN: 12 noon to 10 p.m.

Attendees can show GTA name badge for Free Parking; Free Admission; Early Show Seating; THE FLASH PASS for certain quick ride access; EXPRESS FRIGHT PASS for Haunted Houses and access to the Golden Ticket Lounge located at the La Vista in the park’s Los Festivales area.

10 a.m. – 11 a.m.:

- Welcome Breakfast at Sangerfest Halle with Amusement Today and
  Six Flags Fiesta Texas Park President Jeffrey Siebert

11 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.:

- Tours begin at Six Flags Fiesta Texas for GTA attendees:
  Fright Fest Attraction Tour with lights on at RockKill High School
  Poltergeist Coaster Tour to see themed queue area and spaghetti bowl track tour
  Sangerfest Halle Culinary Tour, front and back of house tour

11:45 a.m.:

- Exclusive GTA first rides on Dr. Diabolical’s Cliffhanger Dive Coaster.

12 noon to 10 p.m.:

- PARK OPEN TO GUESTS / Free time for GTA attendees or to return to Resort.

1 p.m.

Walking Clifftop Tour of the park from Road Runner Express in Crackaxle Canyon Screampunk District
to just beyond Iron Rattler and back. NOTE: This is a steep and long walk and is not recommended for those with special needs or health conditions.

5 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.:

- Golden Ticket Cocktail Reception in Zaragoza Theater lobby.

5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.:

- 2022 Golden Ticket Awards, presented by Amusement Today, at Zaragoza Theater.

7:45 p.m. – 8:45 p.m.:

- GTA Upscale Buffet Dinner at Picnic Grove in A/C Tent.

9:15 p.m.:

- Dr. Diabolical’s Monster Mash Bash at Lone Star Lil’s Amphitheater, with GTA Reserved Seating
  (Show begins at 9:30 p.m.)

10:15 p.m.

- Frightful Finale Fireworks Show at Lone Star Lil’s VIP Area, with special VIP seating
  FEATURES SPECIAL TRIBUTE to all sponsors on Quarry Wall.

10:30 p.m. – Midnight:

- Closing Reception with desserts, drinks, and ride time in Crackaxle Canyon Screampunk District
  PARK CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC.
