Seven Bucket List Items to Complete
What’s on your bucket list? Some of the most popular goals, desires, and determinations can be completed at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Here are some common bucket list ideas that you can fulfill at the park and cross off your list.
1. Sky dive through the air.
Many people dream of sky diving for the ultimate free-falling thrill. At Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, we have the incredible Sky Coaster. You’ll be pulled backwards to the top of a 10-story tower, and once at the top you will have to build up the nerve to pull the ripcord that will release you into a free fall dive, plunging you head-first back down towards Earth. Next, you’ll soar back and forth above the park as the cable swings you through the air. Want to satisfy the experience of falling through the sky? Check.
2. Go white water rafting.
You can experience a thrilling white water adventure on White Water Safari. Our 12-person rafts will rush down the raging river, twisting and turning as you encounter rocky patches, wild waterfalls, and turbulent currents. You never know which way the unpredictable waves will turn your boat—just like a real white water journey.
3. Conquer a fear of heights.
You’re determined to overcome your fear of heights, and what better way than by riding some of the tallest rides in Northern California? It’s a long way down from the top of Kong, as you plummet down the 108 foot drop with nothing between your dangling feet and the ground below. You can also soar among the clouds 15 stories in the air as you enjoy the scenic view from the top of SkyScreamer.
4. Meet someone famous.
How about several famous characters? Only at Six Flags can you meet the entireLooney Tunes gang, including Bugs Bunny, Tweety, Daffy Duck, and Sylvester. They’re all waiting to greet you. After you take a photo with your favorite character, you can also enjoy the rides named after them.
5. Complete a backflip.
You can flip head-over-heels at Six Flags without even taking gymnastics. On Boomerang Coast to Coaster, you’ll overturn twice in the cobra roll, and once more through a loop. The upside-down action is then multiplied as you tackle the same track again backwards. Fly through one of the world’s tallest coaster inversions on SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight. On Medusa, you’ll twist, spin, and invert seven times until you don’t know which way is up. Plus, on our suspended looping coaster, Kong, you’ll face a stunning four somersaulting inversions.
6. Break a world record.
Many people dream of breaking a world record, and at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, there are two ways you can make that happen. At 3,500 feet long, 65 miles per hour, and 150 feet tall, Medusa is the tallest, fastest, longest, and most technologically-advanced coaster in Northern California, and the first floorless coaster on the West Coast. SUPERMAN Ultimate Flight’s 15-story inversion also sets a new record as the tallest inversion west of the Mississippi. So take a ride on both powerhouse coasters and tell friends you were a part of record breaking history.
7. Swim with dolphins.
This once-in-a-lifetime goal of many people can come true at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Our Dolphin Discovery and Trainer for a Day programs let you spend quality time learning about and interacting with our bottlenose dolphins. You’ll get in the water with our trainers and swim around with our amazing marine mammals. It’s a unique opportunity that you can cross off your list.
