Five Amazing Family Rides
Six Flags Discovery Kingdom has extreme coasters and gentle kiddie fun – and everything in between. Some of our rides let your family enjoy the ride and time together. Stick together and enjoy some quality family bonding time on these family favorites.
1. Get a scenic view on the Seaside Railway.
Hop on the Seaside Railway for a scenic view and some Seaside Junction landmarks. The cute locomotive still has plenty of room for your family to spread out on the benches and let the little ones hop in your lap. Then, just sit back, relax, and enjoy the bonding time while you view Lake Chabot and different sites around the junction.
2. Go for a spin on Monkey Business.
This spinning teacup-style ride is great for your family to work together to create a fun ride experience. These bowls are large enough to fit your entire family, and your individual cup feels private as your entire crew jumps inside and snuggles close for the ride. Control your spin by grabbing ahold of the center disk. Spin the wheel together to rotate your cup wildly around, or sit back if your family prefers a less dizzying ride.
3. Enjoy a magical moment on the Seaport Carousel.
Our traditional carousel is a classic favorite for all ages. Saddle up on your favorite horse or sit back on the chariot and create fond memories or create new ones under the charming lights. Younger children will love riding the horses, while the elders will reunite with their childhood.
4. Bond as you navigate through the wilderness on White Water Safari.
Your entire family can set sail for a wild whitewater adventure. Our roomy 12-person rafts will seat your entire gang as you float and splash down the river. It’s always fun to laugh when mom gets splashed with that wave, and it’s hilarious when little brother backs into a waterfall.
5. Enjoy mild thrills on Road Runner Express.
This family-friendly coaster will thrill all the daredevils in your crew. Kids can hold on to mom and dad—if they need to—while their train chugs along the curvy 262-foot-steel track, reaching a gentle, yet exciting, 13 feet high. It’s perfect for coaster-lovers of all ages—whether it’s your first beginner ride or a mild break from the extreme thrills.
