Cain’s Lion Encounter

Guests will enjoy a close encounter with the lion pride. This tour will take place behind the scenes at the Lion’s Lair where one of the animal care specialists will educate you about the lions here at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom as well as their wild counterparts. Guests will be able to see the lions up close and may have the opportunity to safely give the lions a treat. This program is available on Saturdays and Sundays only.

Program Information:
  • Price: $39.99 per person

  • Interaction Time: 2:30 pm

  • Interaction Duration: 15 minutes

  • Meeting Location: Lions exhibit across from Cheetah Creek 5 minutes prior to your program

  • Capacity: 12 guests

Program Requirements and Policies:

Any guests who are under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult with a paid ticket. Children who are 2-years old or younger do not require a ticket.

Photos are not allowed in the lion behind the scenes area.
Park admission is required to participate and NOT included with this program.
For everyone’s safety and comfort, please advise us prior to your interaction if there are any emotional, behavioral, or physical conditions that could affect a guest’s participation so we may make appropriate accommodations.
While most of our animal interaction programs are hands-on, we can never guarantee touching or feeding animals.
This program runs rain or shine. If severe weather prompts a park closure, guests will be contacted regarding options for their purchased programs.
Prior to your program, you will receive a call and/or email confirmation from Education staff to confirm your booking and provide any relevant program information.
There are no refunds.
You can reschedule your program 72 hours or more from your original reservation date and time. There will be no rescheduling accepted with less than 72 hours’ notice.
