SIX FLAGS WHITE WATER RECOGNIZED AS TOP TEN WATER THEME PARK BY INDUSTRY LEADER
Six Flags White Water today announced its latest distinction as one of Aquatics International's "Top Ten Water Theme Parks" in the United States. The trade publication annually ranks the nation's water parks, and Six Flags White Water was recognized at the organization's Waterpark Resorts Leadership & Development Conference held last week in Orlando, Fla.
Aquatics International based the rankings on attendance figures and median revenue based on attendance.
"This is a great award for Six Flags White Water from a leader in the water and amusement park industry," said Park President Melinda Ashcraft. "The park attracts guests from all over metro Atlanta and beyond, and we strive to promote a family-friendly atmosphere that appeals to all ages."
The Waterpark Resorts Leadership & Development Conference brings together some of the water park industry's top executives and staff each year to discuss design elements, promotions and attendance factors.
Six Flags White Water is the largest water park in the Southeast. Each year, the park entertains thousands of guests with more than 20 rides and attractions, including the Cliffhanger, a 90-foot freefall-style body flume - one of the tallest in the world.
Six Flags White Water was also named one the "Top Ten Water Parks" by the Travel Channel in 2007.
