Splash Into Summer at Six Flags White Water
Southeast’s largest water park opens May 21
Grab the swimsuits and sunscreen, as summer is just around the corner. To kick off the sweltering season, Six Flags White Water opens for the 2011 season on Saturday, May 21.
“Six Flags White Water is an award-winning, affordable destination for families to visit this summer,” said Park President Melinda Ashcraft. “This will be another great season for the park that’s brought summer fun to so many local residents for more than 26 years.”
Six Flags White Water is the Southeast’s largest water park with more than 20 attractions and 50 slides. Thrill rides include Tornado, a six-story funnel that is sure to get the heart racing, and Cliffhanger, which is one of the tallest water rides on the planet. Cliffhanger takes guests down a nine-story free fall to create quite a big splash at the ride’s end. Six Flags White Water is also home to three interactive kids areas, where families and children of all ages can cool off during the hot summer.
