Six Flags White Water Announces 2008 Job Fair  
Top 10 Water Park Recruiting 400 Positions for 2008 Summer Season

MARIETTA, Ga.– Cool off. Splash around. Get paid! What better way to spend your summer than by working at the Southeast's largest water park? Voted one of the top 10 water parks in the nation by Aquatics International, Six Flags White Water is holding its annual job fair on Saturday, April 19 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  
The eighth largest employer in Cobb County, Six Flags Atlanta Properties has 400 positions open in the following areas specifically for its White Water park:

  • Food Service     
  • Park Services
  • Admissions                    
  • Parking Lot Host/Hostess
  • Retail
  • Security (must be at least 18 years of age)
  • Aquatics (lifeguards)

Individuals applying for a position in aquatics (lifeguards) will receive certification from aquatics experts upon hire. No previous certification is necessary. There is no out-of-pocket expense for lifeguard certification if individuals stay on board for the duration of the 2008 season. 

Before attending the job fair, applicants must visit www.sixflagsjobs.com to fill out an online application. Those who have not completed an online application will not be able to participate in the April 19 job fair, but may return to the employment office at the Six Flags White Water business complex to apply at a later date. The employment office holds regularly scheduled hours from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. every Tuesday through Saturday.

Individuals attending the job fair should park in the general parking lot at Six Flags White Water/American Adventures located at 250 Cobb Parkway North in Marietta.  Attendees should enter through the main gate at American Adventures and follow the signs to the Job Fair.  Applicants must be at least 15 years old to apply. Certain positions require individuals to pass a math test. 

The seasonal employment schedule begins with daily operation May 24 - Aug. 10 and continues with weekend operation Aug. 16 - Sept. 14 (unless otherwise noted).
