Beyond the roller coaster thrills, and awe-inspiring entertainment on stage, Six Flags Over Texas also has a “must see” concert lineup for the summer season. This year’s artist lineup highlights sounds from several music genres. The first concert kicks off on June 18 with a popular British Boy Band and will end with an up and coming country music sensation.

One of Britain’s hottest pop groups, The Wanted, was formed in 2009 and immediately caught the eyes of the music industry’s top producers.  Their 2011 hit single, “Glad You Came” quickly rose to the top of the pop charts in both the United Kingdom and the United States.  Late last year, they released their newest CD, Battleground. They have appeared in the V Festival and the iTunes Festival as well as made appearances with Justin Bieber and Britney Spears.

Clearasil® Summer Concert Series

Last year, with the success of Hot Mess and "Good Girls Go Bad", the band graced the stages of several late night TV shows, performed at the People's Choice Awards and the 2011 VMAs.

NEEDTOBREATHE has charted on both Christian and mainstream rock/pop charts. They have release four studio albums including their latest chart topping album, “The Reckoning” which peaked at #6 on the Billboard Top 200.  This Dove Award winning group opened for Taylor Swift on her North American leg of her Speak Now World Tour in 2011.

In 2006, Chris Young was crowned the winner of the popular TV singing competition, Nashville Star.  He released his self-titled debut album that year and has continued to produce several hit country songs including five consecutive number one hits.  He has been nominated for several country music awards and was the 2011 American Country Music Award winner for Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Single of the Year.
