Six Flags Over Texas Opens for Spring Break
Popular Thrill rides and local music talent on tap for families to enjoy
The leader in thrilling entertainment is kicking off one of its most popular events of the season this week. Six Flags Over Texas opens up for Spring Break Saturday, March 9 - Sunday, March 17 and Friday, March 22 - Sunday, March 24. Grab the sunscreen and catch spring fever with thrilling rides and continuous live music.
“Six Flags Over Texas has always been the area’s premier destination for close to home family fun,” said Steve Martindale, Six Flags Over Texas park president. “We’re excited about the variety of offerings we have for our guests during Spring Break, including the diverse music line-up that will be on our stages.”
Families can enjoy the more than 40 rides and attractions at Six Flags Over Texas, including the award-winning New Texas Giant, MR. FREEZE: Reverse Blast and Titan. There is also an impressive line-up of musical entertainment, which includes some of North Texas’s more popular local talent; from School of Rock to Red Box Harbor and Thomas, there’s something to entice every musical taste bud. The highlight of the Live and Local music showcase will be the world-renowned Street Drum Corps. The lively percussionist group has appeared on “The Tonight Show,” “American Idol” Season 9 and is the runner up for DRUM! Magazine’s “Best Percussion Ensemble of 2011.”
